We have a long mailing list of folks looking for this same little monkey, and Ammie would love to find a backup.

We have found Me Me (monkey)! My daughter was so happy. Someone put her in the Dr.’s office waiting room on top of the tv in hope that someone would find it, and we did! So now, I am looking for a backup!!
I’m looking for a dark chocolate brown Carter’s Just One Year monkey with a tan face, tummy, and feet. The hands are brown. I got it in 2008 around the Fall time. It is filled with beans and has a curved tail.My daughter became so attached to Me Me (the monkey’s name) when my husband deployed last year. I know it’s crazy, but her daddy leaves a lot, and she needs that monkey. She could be so mad and as soon as she would see Me Me she would light up. It is her security, and it breaks my heart she is lost now.
I have to find a new one…Ive tried every animal under the sun, even other monkeys. Please help me!

Emily, I completely understand! I went as far as contacting the actual manufacturer… They no longer produce this monkey and have none left in their warehouse. The used ones I have seen on Ebay have sold for $140. Ty makes a monkey that looks very similar named Dangles. That one worked for my son, it has a similar feel and coloring. You can find it pretty easily in stores. Good Luck!

Sarah,Thank you so much for your help! Its funny you suggested Dangles because he was one I had my eye on as a possible impostor! Out of hundreds of monkeys I looked at online he was the only one I thought may work! Now knowing Ty Dangles worked for your son gives me hope! I will try him for sure! Thanks again!

I tried Dangles and my son wanted nothing to do with him. I recently followed the advice of Brittany and contacted the manufacturer and they sent me one!!! My son likes it but doesn’t LOVE it like he did the original. You can now remove me from the list of needing this monkey as I found him

Melissa, When did you contact the manufacturer and who did you get in contact with? I emailed back and forth for a few days with a woman who told me I was out of luck… but if you got one maybe I should try again?
