Will the toys be donated to someone or are they going to be sold? We have some items we would like to ship for donation but only if they are being given away to those in need.

Thanks for asking, Dawn. These toys will be DONATED. The collection point is a car dealership in the unaffected part of Birmingham, AL. We do sell toys, but we are NOT the ones collecting or distributing. We have already donated about a thousand dollars worth of toys to this cause ourselves. We dropped them off in garbage bags, since we live near enough to drive there.
If you still have doubts, please Google Adamson Ford in Birmingham, AL, and contact them directly. I understand your caution, as there are too many people who will try to take advantage of any tragedy.

Thanks for an update on an address and for staying on top of this matter ~ posting the new info. (as of today, May 27th) now on facebook .. please post on ebay underground’s discussion group: http://ebayunderground.proboards.com/index.cgi (if you are new, please join, it’s free). They sell a lot of plush and search yard sales, etc.) Matter of fact, it may be a great resource .. you can post what is needed there also. These girls (and guys) really know their plush! Thanks!

They are concentrating on toys of all kinds and cloth tote bags to put a toy variety in to give to children.
I’ll try to find some Facebook sites for you that are taking child related items other than toys through the mail.

I haven’t had time to do the search yet, but I will get back to this as soon as I can. We’re also helping on Wedding Dresses for Tornado Victims on Facebook, so I’m staying busy! LOL!
