HOW to MAKE This SEARCH SERVICE WORK for YOU!!!

I read each request, ask for additional information and photos, and edit most of the photos. I answer each email that comes in about a posted request, act as a go-between to link people who can help with those who need help, and add new requests as soon as I can.

Here’s what YOU need to do:

1. Become one of our Fabulous Finders by checking the bottom of your child’s toy box for lovies other people need!

2. If you still have the lovie that you need help finding a backup or replacement for, please take a photo of it on a contrasting plain background. Daylight is best, rather than flash. All I usually need is a good frontal picture. Sometimes a side view helps, too.

If you can only find one with your child in the photo send it on, and I will edit your child out as best I can.

3. VERY IMPORTANT!! Put the Post Code found at the end of your post in every email you send to me and on every comment on your post that you make on the Search Service. Don’t worry about it if you forget sometimes – I sure do! But please try to get in the habit.

You will find your Post Code near the end of your post. It looks something like #102508-1.

4. Be sure to SUBSCRIBE TO COMMENTS on your post at the bottom of the comment form.

You can then quickly read any information from the email you will receive each time a comment is made, answer questions the Fabulous Finders or others might ask, etc, and REPLY to all their comments. They need to know you are keeping up with your post, so they are not wasting their time!!!

We encourage those who are asking for help to Pay It Forward and spend some time looking on the Internet for other people’s lovies, too.

If you do find a lovie for someone – please use the Item number in the right sidebar of the listing on eBay, rather than trying to copy / paste the whole address.

We encourage you to use an Internet Search, such as Google or Yahoo, rather than only searching eBay. More and more sellers have left eBay and have moved to smaller auction sites, or they’ve opened their own web store, so you may be limiting your chances of find your lovie, or anyone else’s lovie, if you only search eBay listings.

Whew! That’s a lot to digest, but hopefully it spells things out so you know what to do now to help us help you, and many more people, find their lost lovies, backups, replacements, or childhood lovies.

Need help finding a plush animal or doll? Please Contact Us.

Please be sure you Contact US with an email address that is correct, and that you will be using for a long time!! We can’t help you if we can’t contact you!!

My son lost his bear on a walk through the woods with his sister back in 2005. He is 10 now and still looking for his “Bear Bear”. I made him a copy which Santa gave him for Christmas and although thrilled, he has not given up on his dreams of someday finding Bear Bear. I have scoured ebay under any listing I can think of but cannot find that little bear! He is very soft (possibly chenille or velour but feels very velvety), floppy (cannot sit up, is in a laying down on tummy position), blue (very light, somewhat aqua in some lights), and has an embroidered sleeping face with just the curve of his closed eyes showing and lashes fringing downward. I would love to give my boy what his heart has been longing for! Please help me make his wish come true and bless you for your help.

I’m searching for a Just One Year plush monkey as a back up for my 20 month old son. His “Bubba” goes with him EVERYWHERE and we have recently had a couple of close calls where “Bubba” was almost lost. I purchased the monkey at Target sometime at the end of 2008. I’ve looked everywhere for him and have been unable to locate one. Please help! I can’t bear to think of my little guy without his “Bubba”!

My son lost his beloved bear that he sleeps with every night. I think we may have left it in a hotel while in Orlando. I have called the lost and found for 2 months and they called and checked with the laundry service. Can’t find him anywhere. My son really misses the bear. Can anyone help?

I don’t know the name brand. He is a brown bear with blue pajamas and a red sleep cap.

I am looking for a backup to a Carters small stuffed white bunny with brown ears and paws with a red bow around the neck style #41547 sold around 2009. As many of you know the fear of losing your child’s “best friend” is almost too much to bear so I am looking for a backup. Bunny has become part of the family (we have even had to let Bunny pose with us in family photos) and my daughter can’t do or go anywhere without her good friend! My daughter and I would be forever grateful if anyone has one to spare!

    Thank you,
    Amanda and Amelia

I thought it might be helpful/important to know where Baby Bear was lost: it may have been more like 3 or 4 yrs ago that she was lost, we were living in Concord California, my ex-husband was driving an unregistered Subaru station wagon when he was pulled ovr I believe he was in Walnut creek, Calif. and the car was towed, because it was not in his name he never tried to retrieve any of the stuff in the car, HENSE:Baby Bear goes missing!!!

I’m not searching for a back-up or helping though I wish I could, but I’m trying to figure out who made two blue elephant stuffed animals I’ve owned most of my life.
They look like knockoff puffalumps, but they don’t have any tags to say they were. They also don’t look like puffalumps from when they were created. I know there’s a third on out there in the world that I would actually like to find and give him a home, and I’ve seen someone else with a rabbit that was made exactly like the elephants.
Anyone know of someone who make knockoff elephants that are like puffalumps. I could give you a photo if you want more info.
    Thank you!

I’m looking for a stuffed dog; it’s around 12-14 inches, with floppy golden ears, a brown fuzzy nose, black eyes. It has white fur on the majority of it, however, there is a golden patch over it’s right eye and on its feet. There is a sheerish golden bow around its neck. It was bough at Walmart 10 years ago. Tag is worn off so the brand is unknown.
