Searching – 80′s BAH KOO with ELEPHANT SNOUT, COW EARS, and LION TAIL
We now have a mailing list of people looking for this unusual animal character.
I am looking for a Bah Koo plush toy. It was sold with the sole purpose of helping little kids with nightmares. Bah Koo has an elephant’s snout, cow’s ears, and a lion’s mane and tail.
I’ve been searching for Bah Koo the stuff animal for over two years. The Red Cross gave this stuffed animal to my Husband when he was a seven years old, and his house caught on fire. Who knows where the animal is now. It would mean the world to him, if I can get another one.
Thanks for all your help.

Searching – 80′s BROWN DOG with FURRY YELLOW EARS
I’m looking for an 80′s stuffed dog with brown body, yellow ears and top of head, white muzzle, black nose, and beaded eyes.
I stole it from my sister when I was 2 and took it everywhere with me. I had it until my house burned down at age 5. Broke my heart. This is the best picture we have left of it.
I would always rub his ears on my face to make me sleepy. So much that they fell off all the time and my Mom would have to sew them back on. Sometimes when she couldn’t get around to it yet, I would rub the ear on my face until I got sleepy and then gently put it on his tummy with my hand over it all night so I wouldn’t lose it in the bed.
I would love to replace it now at the age of 28.
Thanks,
Yolanda

Searching – 70′s? BLACK & WHITE RACCOON Windup BRAHMS LULLABY
Brian is still looking for this musical raccoon.
I am looking for a 70′s, maybe 80′s, stuffed musical black and white raccoon that played Brahms Lullaby (musical box inside butt with music crank key in the rear). It was mine as a child and it was horribly ruined!
I have a son now, and I recently received a musical jewelry box for Christmas that made me think of my most favorite and loved toy. The raccoon and any photos we might have had of him were lost in the Perry Creek flood of Sioux City in 1990.
I would love for my son to share the same memories to fall asleep to. Finding it would make my heart fly!!!

Searching – BRIGHT GREEN Floppy LION Top Priority
I’m looking for a large bright green lying down lion. Leo (as we called him) would have been about 12 inches long and 8 inches high. He was all soft, so he would not stand by himself and had floppy legs. He was given to me when I gave birth to Hunter, so I think he was purchased from a gift store. He was bought 6 years ago (almost to the day).
A month ago we lost our home to a house fire. My 6 year old son had a lion, which he called Leo, which he lost in the fire. He slept with Leo every night and has had him since the day he was born. I have searched the internet and shops and have not been able to find him. If anybody could give me details it would be greatly appreciated – even a brand name to make my searching a little bit easier.
I would love to be able to find my son another Leo – your help is really appreciated.
Thanks,
Belinda in Australia

BEAR FOUND – STILL Searching for RABBIT – GUND ALL BLACK BEAR named VELVET plus PINK & WHITE RABBIT named JELLYBEAN
I’m looking for a friend for a 1992 GUND all black bear named Velvet and a 1991 GUND pink and white lop eared rabbit named Jellybean (not sure if that’s Jelly Bean or one word). The black bear does NOT have a red open mouth. These are for two young people who lost their childhood stuffed Gund toys in the wild fire that destroyed their home. The winds were 100 km an hour, so there was no time to pack anything, but only time to evacuate as quickly as possible.
The black bear was her son’s treasured teddy, and the pink bunny belonged to her daughter. They slept with them from the time they were babies. I believe they were the first stuffed animals given to them. Although they are grown now, they still had them in their room for comfort until the fire destroyed their home in Slave Lake Alberta on May 15th. They lost everything but a few clothes and a few pictures.
Jellybean the pink rabbit is about 12 to 14 inches long. It has large lop ears lined in white and has big white feet.
Thanks,
Scott

Searching 18 Years – Burned Yellow Musical Pony Top Priority
Ruth Ann is still looking for this pony. She salvaged from a fire one rather fuzzy picture where he is off to the side amongst other stuff animals.
I enhanced the pony with photo editing software, so this is only an attempt to show what he looked like.
Hello Dirty Butter,
I am desperately searching for a childhood stuffed toy. It is a wind-up musical baby toy, and I *think* it is from Gund, but that is only a vague memory.
He was a yellow pony with a white under-belly and pinkish feet/snout. He had black eyes (not of cloth material) and his nostrils were just yarn stitched on. He had a yarn like tail and yarn mane as well. The small silver wind up mechanism was on his side, and it played “It’s a Small Small World”.
I was born in 1983 and always remember having the toy. I would assume then it is from the late 70′s or early 80′s, but it may be earlier (handed down from a relative). It was destroyed in a fire in 1997, and I’ve been looking since the day of the fire. In 2007, that will be 10 years of desperate searching and late nights on the internet.
Ruth Ann says that this giraffe is pretty close, but hers didn’t have the saddle like that and had a white underbelly. It also didn’t have blue eyes; however, that one plays It’s a Small World, so she wonders if they made it differently depending on the year.
Can you help me please? It is more important than words can express that I find this.
Thanks,
Ruth Ann

Maybe you don’t have one, but you can help us identify the brand or the name of the toy. Any information would be so helpful to her.
Maybe the only help you can give her is to put a post on your blog, linking to this one, so more people will read her request.

Searching – 1994 Ed Kaplan ZOO BORNS MONKEY Top Priority
We have a mailing list of people looking for the various Zoo Borns animals.
I am looking for any Zoo Borns that you can find, but I am particularly looking for the monkey. They are 1994 Ed Kaplan Associates plush toys with flocked vinyl heads and vinyl hands and feet. Zoo Borns is printed on the foot. Here is a video with a giraffe and hippo. They laugh when squeezed, and some did come with a bottle.
Ghostofthedoll has more info.I had the monkey Zoo Borns when I was about 5. I remember I took her to my cousin’s Day Care one day, and a little boy bit its head and made teethmarks on it. I was so upset. I slept with him every night until I was 14.
I spent the night with my grandmother and forgot him at home. Mom didn’t put him in my bag. My house burned down that night, and I lost Monk Monk and my Dad all at once. It was a hard time in my life.
That was 10 years ago, and I have been searching for them ever since. I still haven’t found any of them but the hippo. Thank you so much, and if you ever find a monkey please let me know.
God bless,
Barbara

Searching – 80′s Applause Knickerbocker THE CORPORATION of BLACK WHITE PENGUINS with YELLOW BEAKS
Hi all
Well, my dad went and did a search to try to find the penguins and saw this site and my post and put 2 and 2 together. So my surprise is shot. They had a picture of our penguins, and I’m posting it. I found the right penguin and gave one to give my parents for Christmas. Now I have the tag information, too. The penguins are called “The Corporation” made by Applause copyrighted in 1981. It has “item # 8313″ as well as “A division of Knickerbocker Toy Co. Inc”. I’m still interested in collecting more. Thank you to everyone who has helped so far.
Kevin
I’m trying to find one or more of a group of stuffed penguins made by Applause in the early 80’s. It was part of series containing 5 penguins that varied in size from 8” to about 18” tall. I have a rough drawn picture of what they look like. I don’t have any other information, except they have a beak that is what I would describe as wide and short but fat and ”honkable” (doesn’t actually make a sound, just looks like it ought to be honked). The beak and feet were gold/yellow, typical penguin black with white belly, and white area around eyes.
This is the original drawing Kevin gave us. He did a great job of drawing the right penguin, didn’t he!!
These penguins had a special meaning to my mom, who yesterday lost them in a fire in my parents’ RV while they were on vacation in Alaska. She got the first of them in 1982.
Thanks,
Kevin

Searching – 80′s STANDING BROWN BEAR Wearing BLUE OVERALLS with SUNSHINE
I had a brown bear in the early 1980’s with blue overalls on that had a sunshine on it. The bear was in a standing position, and I don’t think the overalls were removable. The size was about a foot long. I have tried to find a picture of it and can’t find one. I am not sure if bears were distributed regionally or not, but I am in the Winston Salem area of North Carolina, and I’m pretty sure it would have been purchased locally.
I have looked high and low for another bear like this, and I can’t locate one. I have no idea who made it, as I was just a small child then. I held onto it for a while, and it is believed to have been lost during a house fire. As an only child until I was 10, my toys were my best friends, and I would love to have this one back.
Thank you so much!

Searching – 80′s Playskool SNUZZLES BLUE PLAID COW Top Priority
We have a mailing list of people looking for all the Snuzzles lovies!
I’m looking for the 80′s Playskool SNUZZLES blue plaid Blankie cow.
That little cow holds a special place in my heart. My Granny King, my dad’s mom, gave him to me when I was born. She passed away before my house burned, so there are so few things I was left with to remind me of her…and now I have nothing. All the keep sakes that I was given all burned up in a house fire, so now I have nothing…not even one picture of my Granny.
I would really love your help in finding an original Snuzzles cow. However, my heart has been broken for many years, and if a replica can be made, I will settle for that until I can find an original. I plan to contact Susan for a Snuzzles replica until I can have the real thing.
Thanks so much,
Love in Christ
