Searching – Vintage KOREA United Feature Syndicate SNOOPY Without PATCH on TUSH Top Priority

Vintage Korean Applause? Snoopy Without the Tush PatchWe’re looking for a late 70′s or early 80′s, and possibly even older, firmly stuffed Snoopy. The tag says ©1968 UNITED FEATURE SYNDICATE, INC. PRODUCT OF KOREA REG. NOS. PA219-CA16113 ALL NEW MATERIALS CONTENT:KAPOK SHREDDED CLIPPINGS. It does NOT have the Snoopy patch on the tush. He is between 12 and 13 inches, although he is probably deflated and elongated from wear and his fur is certainly nappy from love.

We’re trying to find a backup for a friend of ours for her little boy. He has a brain tumor and is a precious child. The Snoopy was his Mama’s, but he has taken it over. She says that it is his Snoopy, and not Mama and Daddy, who comforts him when he feels bad or gets a booboo.Vintage Korean Applause? Snoopy Without the Tush Patch

With all the doctor and hospital trips this little fellow has to make, it would give his Mama and Daddy a little piece of mind to know they had a backup already in hand.

We found item 250874418408 on eBay that she says is very close, and she’s considering getting it, even though it is not the correct one.

Thanks,

Rosemary

Searching – 60′s Small YELLOW CORDUROY HIPPO with RED PRINT

The photos are NOT of the hippo Jill is looking for, but may help with the search.

Orange Swirl HippoI am looking for a stuffed hippo from the 1960’s. It was made of corduroy and was yellow with red spots on it. It was about 6 to 8 inches from tail to mouth. Its mouth was open, and I think it had a felt tongue.

The closest I could find for body type and similar coloring is this orange swirl hippo. Naturally, mine didn’t have the swirls. The giraffe shows the material the original was made from – ribbed corduroy in yellow. My hippo had red spots instead of the giraffe’s black.

I got him as a small child going in for eye surgery. Everyone thought I’d be blind after it, which was conveyed to me, so my hippo kept me safe.

He disappeared when my husband got our belongings during our divorce. I’m hoping to find a similar replacement!Yellow Corduroy Giraffe

Jill

Searching – RUSS? 70′s WINSTON & DOOBIE Beige DOGS and 80′s Standing 10″ WHITE LAMB

Custom Stuffed Vintage White Wooly Standing LambRex says the lamb in this photo is something like his, but his had closer cropped hair and the eyes were glass buds. No tongue was visible and the legs were thin but stiff. The Lamb – who had no tag and went by Lammie as far as I was concerned – was a little white lamb with blue eyes and mine kind of twisted a little so the legs didn’t quite line up. The lamb would be from 1983-5, and had short, nappy, white hair.

Thanks to one of our Fabulous Finders we now have a photo of Winston and of Dooby, and the dogs have been found.

70's RUSS Big Head Cream Dog

I am looking for two dogs and a lamb from my childhood. These were my favorite – not that we like to have favorites – friends growing up. The dogs were my mum’s before they were mine and would have been from the late 70′s.

When I was 17 my step-father threw them out by accident. The two dogs, Winston and Doobie, had tags that read as much, and they were off-white or beige and had heads that were as long as the rest of them. Doobie was the little one. Sorry, but I don’t think I have any photos. 70's RUSS Dooby Cream Dog

When I get sad I miss them very much to this day, and if someone could help me it would mean a tremendous amount to me to have my old friends around.

FOUND – 60′s SMALL BLUE SLEEPING DOG

We weren’t able to find the dog that Kelley had as a child, but Susan was able to create one for her. She writes, “IT’S PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!! That’s my blue dog. I LOVE HIM. I can’t tell you what this does for me. “

60's Small Blue Sleeping Dog ReplicaI’m looking for a small stuffed blue dog from the late 60′s/early 70′s. It was taken away from me as a small child by my abusive “mother”. When I was older, a girl down the street had one. I bought it from her, but when I got “caught” with it, I was forced to return it.

It is almost identical to the one in the photo, but fully stuffed, and there’s no zipper. I got it when I was one year old, which I hate to say was in 1968. The eyes and “fur” are the same.

If you help me find this it would fix a hole in my heart. Sounds silly, as I’m in my 40′s and a Mom myself, but it’s just something I’ve never gotten over.

Here’s the actual dog Kelley has been looking for. She’s bidding on it now, thanks to a wonderful Fabulous Finder who located it even though she was happy with the replica that Susan made. I’m so tickled that the replica is so close to the original!60's Small Blue Sleeping Dog

FOUND – 1962 BEAR BRYANT FUN BOWL FOOTBALL BOARD GAME

Rosemary- Merry Christmas to you and your family. I received my Bear Bryant Fun Bowl in the mail today thanks to you and AJ. Thanks again for all your help. I never would have found it by myself. Again thanks for making this a special Christmas for me. –Mike

1962 Bear Bryant Fun Bowl Board GameI’m looking for this vintage Realistic Games, INC., football simulation board game from 1962 called Bear Bryant Fun Bowl. The box has the printing 100 MADE IN USA in the left hand corner, as only 100 were made. It was designed by Al Padgett.

My dad bought the game for me before he passed away. I had moved away from home, and all my old games had been thrown out. I sure would like to have this memory back, even if it’s not a complete game.

FOUND – 60′s Beech Nut Gum GREEN & WHITE STRIPE TIGER

Rita writes: I want to thank you so very much! Cindy found me a Beech-Nut Fruit Striped gum plush Tiger that I lost in a move. If it wasn’t for your website I never would have found a replacement!

I’m looking for a green and white striped stuffed tiger from Beech Nut Fruit stripe gum that I got in 1965. These were stuffed animals maybe in the 60′s. There were several animals…a zebra, mouse, and maybe a horse and an elephant.

Beech Nut Gum Green Striped Tiger

Would you know how I can replace it, as I lost it a few years ago in a move?

Thanks,

Rita

Searching – 50′s? 60′s? SMALL BROWN CORDUROY DOG Wearing BROWN PLAID HAT

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. I’m looking for a small brown corduroy dog, about 6-8 inches or so, that was wearing a hat that was sort of floppy and was more of a tartan pattern with a yellowish brownish and a red brownish color to it. This was my best friend’s childhood lovie, and he was born in 1959, so the toy has to be from the late 50’s or early 60’s, and of course it got thrown away when he got older.

He recently talked to his brother, who still has HIS lovie from around the same time ( a stuffed bear), and now he has been missing his dog.

I was trying to get it for his birthday last year and could not find anything. I was hoping to find something for this year!

I have no other information than that, but am hoping someone might remember more!

Thanks in advance!

Julia

Searching – 50′s? 60′s? BROWN BEAR Wearing RED & WHITE STRIPED PJ’s & STOCKING CAP & Holding a LIGHTED CANDLE

I am looking for a bear I had during the late 50′s or early 60′s. He was brown and wearing red and white striped pj’s with a matching sleep cap. As for size, I would estimate about 15″ from foot to the top of his head. The hat was the old fashioned sleep cap style. He was NOT jointed, and he did not sit up well unless propped up. He was holding a hard plastic candle that lit up with a battery. He may have been advertising for a motel chain, but I’m not sure.

We were a military family and moved so often that I never went to the same school for more than 1 year. He was lost somewhere along the way. But he sure was a comfort to me. I would love to find a similar one.

Thank you so much for any and all assistance.

Searching – 50′s? 60′s? Dollcraft BROWN REAL? FUR FLOPPY DOG

Thanks to one of our Fabulous Finders, we now know that this is a Dollcraft dog from the 50′s or 60′s.

70's Brown Real? Fur Floppy DogI am looking for a plush dog, maybe named Floppy. He is brown and has ears and tail made from, I think, real fur. He would have been made in the 70′s. He is about 12 inches long with a pom pom type nose and plastic eyes. You will see the white fur on his tail, ears, and patch on his head that my grandmother “fixed”. He feels like he’s filled with crushed something like nutshells.

He was my sister’s favorite stuffed animal, and the fur on his ears and tail wore off. My grandmother “fixed” him while we were young with white fleece! He looked horrible. I want her to have a “new” one, so she can remember him as he was, and fondly remember our grandmother for doing her best to make it all better.

I am so grateful for any help finding another one. Johanna’s 35th birthday is in June, and I thought this would be a wonderful surprise!!

Thanks,

Jessica

Searching – Vintage SMALL WHITE DOG with ORANGE, YELLOW, BLUE SPOTS

60'? 70'? 80'? Small White Dog with Orange, Yellow & Blue SpotsI am looking for a stuffed toy dog from my childhood. It is white with orange, yellow and blue spots. It has floppy ears that can cover its eyes, and a “peanut-shaped” head. It lays on its stomach, with its legs sticking out, two on each side. It would be from the early 1980′s, or 1970′s or possibly earlier. It is no more than 6″ long. It used to have a brownish nose (fell off) and white plastic/metal anchors at the bottom of its floppy ears (also fell out). I think it had white “fur” beneath its chin, and under its stomach. It was a mix of fleecy like material (spots were on this) (?) and fabric (on belly and under chin) (?). It’s hard to describe. I’m not sure if it had eyes at one point in its life, but it did not when I inherited it.

This toy was given to my mother 28 years ago by an acquaintance, who said it once belonged to his son. I have no idea how old the toy was when I received it, but it’s at least 28 years old. It has been my most treasured possession, and I have always been curious of its origins. I guess I’m just looking for any information related to it.

Thank you so much for all of your assistance.

Merry Christmas!

FOUND INFORMATION – 50′s 60′s GEORGE GIRAFFE PILLOW ANIMAL

Posted by | Filed under FOUND | Nov 5, 2009 | Tags: 50's toy, 60's toy, plush giraffe
No Comments »

Thanks to Holly, we now know that this is George the Giraffe, from the 50′s or 60′s. He was sold as a fabric panel pattern, to be cut out, sewn, and stuffed.

70's? Giraffe Looking Pillow AnimalI was flea marketing in Indiana with my parents back in September, and I ran across a box of dingy, vintage stuffed animals. I was thrilled, as I love vintage plush!!

The one I especially liked was a bashful-looking giraffe pillow/stuffed animal. He reminded me of a character out of “Raggedy Ann” for some reason, but he was extremely dingy and full of holes!

So I bought him, took him home and gave him a good sink bath, patched him up, and now he looks fresh as a daisy! I even put little bows on his ears and tail! I decided to name him Burdorf (like the furniture store LOL). I know, I know, I love stuffed animals too much LOL!

Anyway, what I was wondering is, where do you suppose Burdorf came from? To look at him, you’d think he was sewn from some kind of pattern. At least that’s what I think. I’d extrapolate that he dates back to the seventies at the very latest. He looks rather cartoonish, but I don’t think he was from a TV show/movie or anything. And he’s not a Raggedy Ann character, even though he reminded me of one (I’m probably the only teenager who’s into Raggedy Ann LOL!). But I was wondering what you thought about it!

Thanks,

Peggy :D

Searching – 60′s Mattel PINK PUSSYCAT PATTER PILLOW – STRING TALKING PILLOW CAT

We have been told by a commenter that Colleen is looking for a 60′s Mattel Pink Pussycat Patter Pillow. Thanks to Donna, we now have a picture!

60's Mattel Pink Pussycat Patter Pillow Cat Pillow String Talking DollHi, I have a brain injury and can’t quite figure out how to use this site.

I am wondering if this is a place I can find the name and maker of a talking string toy from the 70′s. As best I can recall, I think it was like a cotton fabric, and it was a sort of a pillow with a drawing of a cat more than it was the shape of a cat.

I think it was a cat of sorts, similar to the talking pull-string Flip Wilson doll.
Flip Wilson Talking Doll PillowOne of the things it said when you pulled the string is..

Ladybug, ladybug, don’t fly away home.

I’m looking for this for a TBI friend of mine.

Thanks,

Searching – 60′s? 70′s? Rushton WHITE FROG Wearing RED BEANIE HAT, BOW TIE, VEST

The frog originally was wearing a vest and hat.

60's? 70's? Rushton White Frog Wearing a Red Hat, Bow Tie & VestI’m looking for a Rushton white frog from the late 60′s or early 70′s. It has a rubber face and it had a red vest, beanie hat, and bow tie. We think it was a Valentine’s frog.

When we were little, my parents divorced, and my dad got all of us a toy. I had Zippy the monkey, my sister Barbara had this frog. It was all we had of dad.

Well, a few years ago my sister moved from NYC to Florida, and her room mates in NYC threw out this old, worn frog. My sister has not been the same without her ” Goopy “, which was him name.

I have looked on eBay every other day for this frog, but I only saw this frog once, and it was a green one.

Any help would really make all of us happy. My dad died 3 years ago, and we have been looking even more for this frog since then.

60's? Vintage Brown Rabbit Wearing a Jingle BellI’m looking for this particular vintage bunny. It’s about 10″ high, with a little jingle bell on its chest. I don’t know any other info on it. No tags or markings.
I believe it is from the 60′s, but no real dates on it. (It may possibly be a GUND rabbit.)

Searching – 60′s Knickerbocker Yellow Yarn Haired ROCK A BYE BABY Windup CLOTH DOLL

This is a photo of the right doll dressed in blue. Lisa is looking for this doll in pink. And now, thanks to one of our Fabulous Finders, we have a good photo, and we know that she played Rock a Bye Baby.

60's yellow haired musical cloth dollI am looking for a doll from my childhood. I had it when I was 9, and it was THE only doll I ever loved. I lost it when my family was on a vacation here in Canada and never saw it again – or anything like it!

From what I remember of it here’s the best description I can give:

She was cloth, circa late 1960/early 70′s I think, and she had yellow yarn for hair, wore a pink and white gingham checkered dress (same style as a Holly Hobbie doll) but with the non-HH face – more of the big round eyes – almost kewpie-like). She was anywhere from 12”+ AND HERE’S THE MAIN THING I REMEMBER: She had a musical wind up in her back and she played a soft lullaby (I can’t really remember the song(s)..

I would do ANYTHING to find her. I KNOW she wasn’t the only one made, but it sure feels like it. I’ve seen close to her but nothing..I would LOVE to have her again, to keep and pass along to my daughter…

IF you find it in your heart – PLEASE pass this post along to any collector, or anyone who can maybe direct me to a location to find her. It sounds silly but, it’s almost like looking for a lost child – or a lost piece of my childhood, really. If you know where I might find her, please let me know! I’ve already searched through eBay…

Sincerest gratitude for your time!
Regards,
Lisa
