Searching – Peoria Plastics BIG WIG PIG and Applause ROQUEFORT J PIG FOUND

The story of how Roquefort the Pig was found is so interesting I made a post out of it!
I’m looking for BIG WIG PIG. He was part of a collection from Peoria Plastics called Parade Pals. He was pink plush, quite tiny, and wearing a white felt hat with a red white and blue ribbon. I’m also hoping to find Roquefort J Pig made by APPLAUSE, part of the Joy Of Pigging Out collection.
This is the only picture of him we have. He was damaged badly, and we want him back so bad. There has to be another one somewhere, but we have tried EBay and different garage sales and markets, with no luck. Someone must have bought him, too, so he’s got to be out there.

Searching – 1990 Applause Boo Boo Teddy Brown Bear
“I’m looking for this bear! His name is Boo Boo Teddy, and he was made by Applause in 1990. He is brown with a tear in his eye and originally came with a cast but that was lost a while ago.
He was given to me at the age of 2 by my mother’s friend. I didn’t like him when I got him, but once that boyfriend left, I wouldn’t let Boo Boo out of my sight. He’s been with me ever since, and I would love to have a back-up just in case anything were to happen to him, or to give to my children in the future. Any help with be much appreciated!

Searching – 90′s Applause WHITE & Blue GLOW in DARK Bear
I’m trying to find any one of the Applause Magic Glow Friends plush animals, but particularly the bear! They were made by Applause in 1992 and would glow in the dark. They are large white animals with colored accents on the ears paws and hair tuft. The bear has blue accents, the dog purple,the rabbit pink and the mouse yellow.
A few years back I was able to find two of them and purchased both of them for my two daughters who are very young. I have a third child on the way and am needing to find one more. I myself still have my own glow friend (the bear one) that I’ve had since I was 7 years old. This teddy bear means the world to me.
I have great memories of me and my mom putting it under a lamp every night to charge it up and then going to sleep with it and having it glow! I even named my bear “Glowy” as a child. It would mean the world to me if you could help me find another one of these bears so that my children may also share the same memories that I had with my beloved “Glowy”!

Searching – 1985 Applause Precious Moments WHITE & PINK RABBIT
We now have a mailing list of people looking for this rabbit. Wanda is still looking, but the cost has been prohibitive.
Wanda’s story gives such a powerful voice to the emotional trauma of childhood bullying that I hope you share it.
I’m looking for a Snowball 1985 Precious Moments by Applause plush white rabbit. It has the pink satin feet, and pink inside the ears, and a pink satin covered nose and has tear drop shaped eyes. She wore a plastic pink heart locket around her neck that said on the inside “Some Bunny Cares”.
This bunny was very special to me, because as a child, I was bullied in school because of being extremely shy, and the other kids thought I was weird. I had no friends except for my cats, and my plush animals. Whenever I was in school, being tormented, I couldn’t wait to get home to play with my “friends”.
When I first saw the bunny in a Hallmark store back then, it was love at first site. The locket’s message “Some Bunny Cares” meant so much to me. I wanted so much at that time for someone to care. I think it was over $20.00 back then, and my mom almost didn’t get her for me. But she finally bought her for me for Easter. My mom knew what I was going through, and that there was nothing she could do about it, so I think that’s why she gave in.
We had pajama day at school that year, and I took my bunny that day. I remember being laughed at for bringing a toy, even though some of the other girls had pacifiers hanging around their necks of all things. The bunny was taken from me and thrown back and forth. I started crying, not just because of my beloved bunny, but mostly because I was being tormented once again. That just made them laugh even more, because I was acting like a “baby” who had their toy taken away. I did get her back, and cried myself to sleep that night.
I would just like to have my old friend back. It would be nice to have her near. The scars from my past are still with me, so I would like to have some of the nicer things with me as well.
Sorry for such a long post. If anyone knows where I can find one of these bunnies, I would appreciate it.

Hello. I am trying to replace a lost bunny that was a nursery favorite for my younger children and appeared in several photos with them in the early 1990′s.
She was white plush, approximately 8-10 inches long , 6-8 inches tall, and sat on a plastic wood-colored support with four wheels and had a white cord with which to pull her. Our bunny had a pink bow when she was new. It MAY have been made by
EdenApplause, but it definitely was purchased at a gift shop in Jackson, TN., in late 1980′s-early 1900′s.Thank you!

Searching – 90′s Small DAKIN / APPLAUSE? Yellowy Orange HIPPO
Catherine is still looking for this peachy colored hippo. This is an edited photo to give you an idea of what she wants.
I’m so glad someone has a service like this! I am desperately searching for a plush hippo I had when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure she was either a Dakin, Applause, or a Gund brand. I saw some photos online of the Dakin Lou Rankin animals, and the sad little eyes look so familiar I’m betting that the brand was Dakin.
She was sort of small, no longer than 8 or so inches and no taller than 4 or 5. She was kind of a creamish-yellowy-orange color with brown set-back eyes just like the Lou Rankin elephant. Her little legs were much shorter and fatter than the Lou Rankin grey hippo, though. She was purchased at a Noah’s Ark store probably around 1992 or 1993.
Most unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of her. I did write a children’s book for a project several years ago, and used her as the model for my illustrations, though. I’ll see if I can find the book so I can scan and send you my illustration… it was pretty realistic.

Searching – SMALL BROWN & WHITE RABBIT

Our beloved Superbun was stolen from a Costa Rican hotel room, and we are devastated. We miss him so much. He is a garden-variety tiny plush rabbit from a drugstore in Montreal, Canada. He was probably from a wholesaler and cost less than $10, but we can’t find a replacement.
We believe he might have been a RUSS or APPLAUSE brand plush, after looking at many pictures of similar rabbits on-line. However, all the ones we found were 8 inches and longer, clearly too big to be our bunny.
Description:
Small (5 inches maximum) crouching tan/brown and white plush bunny rabbit, black eyes, not beanie but stuffed, purchased at Jean Coutu pharmacy in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in late 2003.One day my new boyfriend went to the pharmacy to get me a prescription, as I was having some health problems. We named him SUPERBUN because my boyfriend (now my husband) would fly him around the room like a superhero, which would make me smile no matter how rotten my medication made me feel!
Five years later, Superbun and his little brother Jerome (a Ty beanie baby giraffe) have never spent a night away from our pillows. Superbun always traveled with my husband to keep him safe, and Jerome stayed home with me. His final adventure was Costa Rica. At the hotel, I tipped the chambermaid well, and she always took care to place Superbun and Jerome on our pillows after making the beds. One Sunday, on her day off, another maid cleaned the room and when we returned, Superbun was gone.
It may sound silly, but we are so attached to our little guys. Anything that you and your wonderful site can do to help would be deeply appreciated.

Scott and Ashley are each looking for a 1998 PRECIOUS MOMENTS blond baby doll with LOVE IS SHARING printed in a white heart on a blue terry sleeper. She’s wearing a matching bonnet with white eyelet trim.
Scott’s daughter is very fond of that doll, and it has seen better days and they looking for her twin. And Ashley wrote about the same time Scott did, looking for this same doll. She writes, “I have been looking for this doll for a long time now, and I really love these dolls.”

Searching – 80′s Applause Precious Moments SNOWBALL WHITE & PINK RABBIT with HEART
I’m looking for an 80′s Applause Precious Moments white rabbit named Snowball with pink satin ears and feet. There’s a pink plastic heart attached at the neck.
This bunny was the very first stuffed animal given to me at birth. I lost it when I was 12 years old and was very devastated.
I have searched for it with unsuccessful results over the years. I would love to find it somehow. I found one post on etsy.com selling it, but I was too late. Any help would be most appreciated.

I’m looking for an Applause seated BABY MICKEY MOUSE in blue gingham check knit pajamas, holding a blue knit blankie. There is a crib pull handle and he plays BRAHMS.
I’ve been searching for a replacement for approximately 5 years as a gift to my 14 year old son. He received the lovey as a gift right after he was born from a dear Aunt and kept it in his room even as he grew. I believe the Mickey was lost during our move and would love to find a replacement.
For all of my children I have saved the baby items they treasured, with the hope they will one day share them with their children. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.

Searching – Applause No. 49122 YELLOW DUCK Platypus with LAVENDER FLOWER BOW
I’m looking for a 12 inch Applause No. 49122 lying down yellow chenille duck platypus with orange velour beak and feet and a yellow hair tuft. It is wearing a yellow flower print lavender organdy bow.
My grandaughter Ella has this as her favorite toy, and she sleeps with it and only it. If she does not have it, she will not go to sleep peacefully. She lost the original, and since then my daughter-in-law purchased the replacement from your site. I would like to have one at my home, so that it will not need to be transported to my home when I watch her.

FOUND – 1985 APPLAUSE Precious Moments WHITE & PINK RABBIT
We helped Lana find one, but we still have a mailing list of people looking for this rabbit.
Some babies have pacifiers, ours had ”Bunny.” This was not supposed to have been a lovey and was simply a decoration in our newborn’s room, as I had an entire collection of Precious Moments on display in her room. However one day she pointed to it, and we made the mistake of handing it to her. We have not gotten it back.
18 months later, Bunny is getting worn being run through the washer every week, since our daughter takes her EVERYWHERE. The silk nose has worn off, along with the silk ears. We are searching for a replacement now for when bunny doesn’t survive another wash or gets left or lost someplace.

Searching – 1989 Applause TAN FUZZLES Furry Lying Down DOG
Leslie is looking for the TAN version of this Fuzzles dog.
I am looking for two plush dogs made by Applause for their Fuzzles line from 1989. The dogs are identical except for size. They are tan/beige, in a lying position, very floppy, with shaggy fur that covers their eyes and long ears. The large dog is 19-20” from front paw to back paw, and the smaller dog is 15-16”.
I am looking for these two dogs, because I have their chocolate brown counterparts that I have had since childhood. My plush dogs are one of the few things about my childhood that was happy. I would love to complete my Fuzzles dog ”family” by bringing the lighter colored ones home as well.

Searching – 80′s Applause Knickerbocker THE CORPORATION of BLACK WHITE PENGUINS with YELLOW BEAKS

Well, my dad went and did a search to try to find the penguins and saw this site and my post and put 2 and 2 together. So my surprise is shot. They had a picture of our penguins, and I’m posting it. I found the right penguin and gave one to give my parents for Christmas. Now I have the tag information, too. The penguins are called “The Corporation” made by Applause copyrighted in 1981. It has “item # 8313″ as well as “A division of Knickerbocker Toy Co. Inc”. I’m still interested in collecting more. Thank you to everyone who has helped so far.

I’m trying to find one or more of a group of stuffed penguins made by Applause in the early 80’s. It was part of series containing 5 penguins that varied in size from 8” to about 18” tall. I have a rough drawn picture of what they look like. I don’t have any other information, except they have a beak that is what I would describe as wide and short but fat and ”honkable” (doesn’t actually make a sound, just looks like it ought to be honked). The beak and feet were gold/yellow, typical penguin black with white belly, and white area around eyes.
This is the original drawing Kevin gave us. He did a great job of drawing the right penguin, didn’t he!!
These penguins had a special meaning to my mom, who yesterday lost them in a fire in my parents’ RV while they were on vacation in Alaska. She got the first of them in 1982.

Searching – Large 1982 Applause LITTLE BEGGAR DOG
We have a mailing list of people looking for either the cat or the dog.
I’m looking for an Applause 1982 No. 8593 large cream begging dog with a taupe muzzle and ears. He has pink paws, and he’s wearing an orange gingham cotton bib that is silk screened LITTLE BEGGAR DOG.
My mother had bought me one of these in 1985, and I still have it to this day. I sleep with it, and it travels with me everywhere. It doesn’t look as beautiful as it used to, but it’d be nice to have another one.
