Searching – 80′s Applause LARGE CREAM LITTLE BEGGAR DOG with BIB
We have a mailing list of people looking for either the cat or the dog.
I’m looking for an Applause 1982 No. 8593 large cream begging dog with a taupe muzzle and ears. He has pink paws, and he’s wearing an orange gingham cotton bib that is silk screened LITTLE BEGGAR DOG.I am desperate to find this toy for my fiance. He has had one for the past 25+ years. His is totally falling apart. I would love to be able to give him another one as a wedding gift.

FOUND – 80′s Applause LARGE ORANGE BROWN LITTLE BEGGAR KITTEN
We have a mailing list of people looking for either the Little Beggar cat or dog.
I’m desperately seeking the Little Beggar kitten. It’s an Applause 1984 No. 2207 large plush light brown or orange cat with cream muzzle and ears. It has pink paws, and it’s wearing a pink gingham cotton bib that is silk screened with LITTLE BEGGAR KITTEN.
My son received a similar stuffed toy from his great grandmother when he was born. This kitten was a great gift and cherished toy that comforted him for years through various illnesses and troubles. I would love to give him this a gift in memory of his beloved Nanny.

FOUND – 90′s Applause WHITE & PURPLE GLOW in DARK RABBIT? DOG?
I’m looking for an Applause 1992 No. 40472 large white long eared rabbit with purple eyes and hair tuft.
I had this purple glow in the dark rabbit for years as a child, but because we moved around, she got lost somewhere between Texas and California. She was my absolute favorite toy as a kid, and I remember falling asleep playing with her purple hair. I just found this site, and just my rotten luck, there was my purple rabbit in the clearance section…..already sold
I am trying to track this rabbit down now for not just for myself, but for my son as well. I think he would enjoy her as much as I did just for the fact that she glows in the dark.

Searching – 80′s? Applause BROWN HAND Full Body PUPPET with a BIG NOSE
Thanks to SavetheToys.com, one of our Fabulous Finders, we now know that this is an Applause puppet, and we have a much better photo.
I am looking for this stuffed brown dog hand puppet. This stuffed dog is at least 20 years old. It used to have fuller brown fur and a big round brown nose. It is actually a puppet so you can stick your hand in and move its two hands.
My brother gave me it when I was born, and I’ve had it ever since. It is REALLY beaten up.
But I’ve kept it forever, and the tag is really faded. I can’t tell where it’s from!
Please somebody help me find my stuffed dog’s identity!

I’m looking for an Applause 1982 No. 8593 large cream begging dog with a taupe muzzle and ears and pink paws. He’s wearing an orange gingham cotton bib silk screened LITTLE BEGGAR DOG.
I purchased one of these little dogs for my son when they came out originally. It went everywhere with him. As an adult he still had this animal with him wherever he went. Unfortunately, it was lost a little over 2 years ago. He still at 29 years old talks about this little dog. We were a military family, and it saw him through many changes. It was a constant in his life.
I did find a set of the dog and cat which I am having delivered from England. They are the smaller set, so it isn’t the “perfect fit”. I would just love to give him an original, size and all. He has just joined the Army, and I thought it would be a perfect Christmas gift.

Searching – Precious Moments PINK DOLL Gown Shaped BLANKIE with BONNET
I’m looking for an Applause 26 inch gown shaped plush comfy blankie by PRECIOUS MOMENTS. It has the head and arms of the doll with a screen print face. She’s wearing a print flannel bonnet, and there’s a pink satin heart on the blankie and pink satin binding at the bottom.
This is for my daughter. She is EXTREMELY attached to hers, and it is falling apart. She has had it since she was born, and now we fear it is lost. It is possible that someone threw it out accidentally. She is DEVASTATED. We even contacted the landfill – but that was useless. HELP.

I am looking for a grey Mama cat with stripes who is lying on her side and comes with three kittens (white, black, grey), and the Mama has Velcro on her tummy so the kittens can be attached.
I used to play with this set of plushies when I was little and would go to my Grandmother’s house. It was my favorite thing that she and I used to play together, and recently I decided I would like to find one again. I actually found this site while I was searching for one, and you even had a picture of what I am looking for:
I guess it had been found on eBay once before, but sadly it was an old post, so I am far too late. Any help to find this lost plush is a great help.

I am in search of any Jim Henson, Muppets, Fraggle Rock, etc… But my biggest search is for Puppets from his movie, Tale of the Bunny Picnic. There were four puppets made by Applause in 1987.
In the mid 80′s, there was a special on TV called Tale of the Bunny Picnic. It instantly became a favorite of mine, and I fell in love with the cuddly little characters in it. Shortly after it came out, there was a line of stuffed animals made by Applause in 1986.There were 4 in the set, Bean Bunny, Twitch Bunny, Father Bunny and Great-great-great-great grandmother bunny. They were made with children in mine, since they were puppets, and only little hands could make them move.
I used to have Bean Bunny, and he was my favorite toy, but when time came to clean out some old toys, he mistakenly got thrown into the bunch. I have been in search for him ever since. I have learned about him, and that there were 3 other puppets made. I would love to find him again, and, if possible, have him with his family of bunnies as well:)Thanks in advance!:)

I lost my best friend, Mousie when I was 14. He was a gray stuffed mouse (maybe by Applause?,) but what made him original was that he had a frown. His eyes looked like the “Precious Moments” type eyes. He was around 14 inches long. He had a “bear type” body meaning arms and legs that extended from his body, and I believe he had a long tail.
The edited photo looks a bit like the real Mousie. His head sat more on his body like he didn’t have much of a neck (if any), and he had a frown with another tiny frown shaped line under his mouth (like a kid when they pucker up their chin). The pink material in his ears was like bed sheet feeling.
His widow’s peak hair was wider and the point of it was closer to his eyes. And his eyes were so much like the Precious moment character’s eyes – I am wondering if he was not from their line? He was the only boy mouse and the only gray mouse in the whole bin. We got him from Gold Circle. He was in a free standing square shaped bin and he was the only one. The girl mice were brown, and they had on a pinafore and a bow and they smiled. He never had clothes. I have tried to find him for sooooo long…
I had a bad childhood, but he was my best friend through it all. Recently, I came across the ONLY photo I have of him, and I started crying. I haven’t seen him for 20 years. It may seem silly since I am 34, but it tugged on my heart to see the glimpse shot I have of him. I have tried to recreate an image of him from this photo (for my hubby and bff – to keep an eye out at garage sales).
I would love it if someone had him.

I am looking for a lamb blanket that my 1 year old son has become very attached to! I picked this up at a thrift store brand new in the box, before he was even born. I threw the box away not thinking, I guess… and I really didn’t know the name of it or anything.
I know it just has a tag that says Dakin and the address, and it says visit Dakin on www.applause.com and a smaller tag behind that that says like two numbers and a letter. But after looking it up, I guess it’s a lovie blanket, but an older one. It looks just like the new one, but his face is blue and he doesn’t have the ribbon, but I think I pulled off the tag because of safety reasons right when I gave it to him.
He has gotten to the point where he wants him all the time and loves to carry him around. I would love to find another one like this if they still have them around… but I’m also curious about how old it is.

My first grandbaby was born in July, 2007, and I originally found this baby doll on eBay. Well, I had her monogrammed and put on a diaper cake that I had made for my daughter’s baby shower.
Now, 17 months later, that doll is my grandbaby’s security baby. She takes her with her everywhere. She sleeps with her, you name it, that is her baby Lila (which is her name).
I would love to be able to put the original up for safe keeping and have a spare for her to mess up all she wants. I truly appreciate all of your help in helping me find another baby Lila.

Finding Roquefort the Pig – A Wonderful Reunion Story
Back in October of 2008, Jeannie asked us for help finding an Applause Roquefort the Pig.
Some months later David contacted us about this pig.

Your post was brought to my attention.
I wrote the book THE JOY OF PIGGING OUT which, in turn, was the basis of (and launched the product line) licensed by Applause in the mid 80′s.
There were actually a total of 6 plush versions of Roquefort produced, and I have some left-over stock in storage (never used) and would be happy to see if among it is the piece you’re looking for….

DISCONTINUED – RUSS? BLACK CAT with RED EARS & ORANGE FEET
I am looking for a plush black cat with orange paws, a red nose, red pointy ears that makes an eerie sound when pressing the button on the back paw. The cat sits up too. It was purchased from Dierbergs Grocery Store, St. Louis in the floral department in November 2008 for Halloween.
My 23 month old daughter dropped it in South County Mall in St. Louis, MO a couple weeks ago and I have been trying to find a replacement. Dierbergs said they thought it was a Russ Berrie/Applause black cat, but everything I find online is the Shining Star model.
My daughter wanders around the house searching for Meow Meow everyday and starts crying when she is unable to locate it. I have purchased 3 other black cats but they are nothing like Meow Meow.

FOUND – APPLAUSE Cookie Monster BLUE BLANKIE
I am looking for a Cookie Monster security blanket by Applause. They have not made them since the late 90′s or 2000. It has a satin heart and a white ribbon around the neck.
My daughter has had this since birth. She is now 8. I have searched for this all over and my neighbor has even tried making one, but it is just not the same. She wanted this same lovie for her brother when he was born, because it was so special to her. But we could not find one. Cookie Monster is falling apart, and she will be devastated if he shreds and she no longer has her lovie. Cookie Monster has always been such a security and comfort for her.
