Searching – SMALL BROWN Beanie BEAR with NUBBY FUR

Small Brown Beanie Bear with Nubby Fur
I’m looking for a small (6-7 inch) brown bear with sort of nubby or loopy fur. It had a loose beanbag body, a soft nose, lightly stitched mouth, black plastic eyes, and very little detail. The tags were long gone, so we have no idea of the brand.

My son lost this wonderful bear, whom he told stories to and about, sang to, slept with, etc. He was a simple but really wonderful bear, and we all miss him. My son is alright — he only wakes up crying because he can’t find him in bed every once in a while — but he talks about him and misses him.

We would love to find a replacement.

Thanks so much for your help,

Kate

Searching – Beanie GREEN MOUSE with BLACK & WHITE STRIPES and ORANGE DOG? with GREEN EARS

Green Beanie Mouse with Black & White StripesI’m looking for a velour sitting beanie green mouse with black and white striped legs and tail and an orange beanie dog-like animal with green ears. They are about 5 inches tall sitting, and 6 1/2 inches standing, though they do not stand on their own. I bought them at Babies ’R Us in late 2001; I remember seeing a label ”Fehn” made in Sri Lanka. They were sold only for a short while.

They were my son’s favorite ”friends”, who went with him everywhere. He had them both since he was a baby, but they have been lost for the past two years. I’ve looked everywhere, on eBay, and can’t find any other.

Please help me find them. He misses them very much, and has written to them asking for them to return home.Orange Beanie Dog? with Green Ears

Thank you so much for helping us,

Searching – 80′s BLACK Beanie BAT with RED GEMSTONE EYES

This is NOT the bat Marielle is looking for.

TY Black Bat
The material is different-the one I’m looking for isn’t furry or soft like the TY bat.
The eyes are different–they’re not simply red but shiny red fake gemstones held in place with little metal prongs (just on like a kiddie ring).
The wings don’t have any kind of thumb and the face has no nose. It looks like the bat in the “Batman” logo but with little feet and red eyes.

Growing up, my childhood lovie was a little bean bag bat that my parents bought me about 20 years ago.

He had a bean bag body (filled with plastic beads) no nose, mouth or any facial features except two eyes that were very unique, as they were bright red, fake gems (like the kind you’d find in kids cheap rings). His wings were twice the width of his body and totally floppy, and he had two little feet and ears (also with beans) attached to his body. He was black and not fuzzy or fluffy at all. The material he was made of was almost like denim, but much thinner and softer. I have no idea what brand made this toy and don’t have a picture.

If anyone knows what toy I’m talking about, or has one, or knows where I can get one, PLEASE let me know ASAP.

Searching – Russ 2790 CREAM BEANIE VELOUR LOVE LAMB w BLUE CROSS

We now have a mailing list of people looking for this lamb.

Russ no 2790 Cream Beanie Velour Lamb Love Blue CrossI’m looking for a RUSS No. 2790 11 inch long cream beanie velour lamb named LOVE. It has a tan velour face and ears, and it’s embroidered with a BLUE CROSS on the chest.

I need this lamb!!! We’ve been looking far too long, and we can’t do surgery on the one we have anymore….he’s about unfixable. It HAS to be a blue cross.

This particular lamb was bought for my son by my grandmother and great-grandmother and given to him when he was six weeks old. He was born Aug. 98. My grandmother and great grandmother are still alive and well…yes five generations. Anyways he takes this lamb….yes even to this day-everywhere! He named the lamb Lovie, and he goes to scouts, family vacations, doctor appointments…which is 3 shots every other week…lots of ER visits because he is asthmatic.

Our family and extended family are still in awe sometimes as my son is getting older but takes lovie everywhere. I say why rush them into adulthood… let kids be kids.

Well, Lovie is just about dead. I’ve done so many surgeries that my son says, ‘Mom his skin is worn off!’ He’s been asking for a new one, so we can put this lovie in a box to have something left of it to show future children and grandchildren of our own that my son’s grandmother and great-grandmother bought this for him.

I can’t even emphasize how much it would mean for him to receive a new one. He’s still being loved even in this condition. We wash less regularly and of course he has to be in stockings and then dad’s tube sock and tied tight. He’s lost a lot of beads over the years…is quite thin but loved beyond words.

Thanks for any help you may have in us finding a new Lovie.

Searching – Small LIGHT & DARK BROWN BEANIE DOG

Small Light & Dark Brown Beanie DogThis site was a great help to us when our first son was a baby–now it’s his brother’s turn.

My son has become attached to a little brown dog–in fact, his only word so far is ”da-hee”.  He’s little, making him perfect for little hands to grab him, standing about 4 inches tall and 4 inches long, not counting his tail. He’s light brown, with dark brown ears, hard plastic eyes and nose, with a brown upside-down triangle for a nose and mouth. He also doesn’t have any stitching on his feet. He’s made of a chenille-like material and has little beans and stuffing in his body, and stuffing in his head.

Doggy was given to us used, with no tags, so we have no idea where to look for a duplicate.

If anyone knows where this little guy came from and where we could find more, we’d be grateful.

Thanks,

Melissa

FOUND – RUSS? Small Beanie TAN & BROWN DOG Possibly a BASSET HOUND?

Small Beanie Brown & Cream Basset Hound? DogI need to find replacement(s) for my sons favorite puppy. He received it as a gift in the hospital when he was born and has slept with it ever since.

Unfortunately I cut the tag off when he was an infant, and now I do not know the brand. I think it might be a RUSS or Ty??? (more likely RUSS) I have searched so many times online to find replacements, but have had no luck. I think it might be a basset hound.

There have been a few nights where we couldn’t find it and have had to turn the house upside down to find it. Otherwise no one was getting any sleep.

Please help!
Kim

Searching – 2006? PINK BLUE LAVENDER CREAM BEAR

2006? Pink, Blue, Lavender, Cream BearWe’re looking for a pastel multi-color bear. I don’t know the brand, but he was bought in Singapore in 2006 by colleagues of ours. We live in South Africa. He is plushy and floppy with a ‘beanie’ type of tummy filling. His nose is pink embroidery, and his eyes are black embroidery. His right ear, left arm and right leg are lilac or lavender in colour. His left ear, right arm and left leg are light blue, and his body and head are pink. The muzzle is cream.

Eva was given Baba Bear (her name for him) when she was born, and he hasn’t left her side except in 2009 when the ducks at the lake grabbed him, and he went missing for ten days before someone found him on the far side of the lake. It was like a miracle!

Now he’s gone again, and I fear we can’t expect another miracle. Eva misses him desperately and is trying to come to terms with the fact that we may never find him, but at 4 years old I suppose it’s hard to grasp.

I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Many thanks!

FOUND! – Small Beanie Baby Style LYING DOWN WHITE & BLACK COW Top Priority

Small Beanie Baby Style Lying Down White & Black CowI am looking for a small stuffed cow. Cowie is floppy and lays down, he is about 8 inches long with black ears and mostly white body. He looks like a Beanie baby, but he’s not. The tag has been ’loved off’, so I can’t read any manufacturer.

He was lost on a family vacation to Story Land and Santa’s Village in NH a few years ago. My son carried his ”Cowie” everywhere. I had found a twin at a yard sale that had brown ears, so he has had ”Brownie” to comfort him, but Cowie was his lost love and he has spent many sleepless nights crying over him.

Recently my son had been very ill and needed surgery. Going through months of sickness brought back how much he missed Cowie. I have searched for a long time and I hope your site can help. Thank you.

Thank you,

Suzanne

FOUND – 2000 Arominals LAVENDER THERMAL & VELOUR CAT

Posted by | Filed under FOUND | Sep 2, 2010 | Tags: 2000's toy, Arominals, beanie, plush cat, replacement toy

2000 Arominals Lavender Thermal & Velour CatI am looking for an Arominals purple cat that I purchased at Walmart for Christmas, 2000. In the kitty’s current state, it’s about 11″ long. It was originally stuffed like a beanie baby. Its main fabric is lilac thermal, with velvety fabric on the tummy, ears and face. The green/blue bow is original and has been laundered – I don’t remember it’s original shade. It originally had some kind of whiskers, but I can’t find a picture with them intact. It has a tail that can’t be seen in the picture.

My daughter loves this animal. She is almost 11 and still sleeps with it. This picture was taken shortly after its trip to the doll hospital for its first major surgery, when it was turned inside out, holes sewn, and it was re-stuffed. Now there’s nothing left in areas, and I would love to find her one for Christmas this year.

Thank you so much!!

Searching – 1997 SMALL GREEN ALIEN BEANIE with LARGE BLACK EYES

Posted by | Filed under SEARCHING | Aug 4, 2010 | Tags: 90's toy, beanie, lost lovies, plush alien

1997 Small Green Alien Beanie with Large Black EyesHello,
When the original Men In Black movie came out on VHS in 1997, I purchased a copy at Sam Goody. They also had a ”promotion” where you could purchase a small (about 4”) plush green alien beanie. Of course, this was when TY Beanie Babies were big items, and every company wanted in on their sales, but this green alien was not a TY product.

This little guy eventually became my roaming Nome, especially since I joined the Air Force and have been traveling around the world. This alien has been with me to Germany, Iraq, and all over the United States.

Unfortunately, last year when I was living in California, my car was broken into and basically gutted. In my glove box, I realized I had left my little alien guy, my gnome, my friend….and he was gone. I’ve been searching online since and have not found success.

Please help me if you can!! I will be in your debt! :o )

Thanks,

Matt

Searching – 90′s 101 Dalmatians SEATED BEANIE DOG WIZZER with RED COLLAR & BLACK SPOT on HEAD

90's 101 Dalmatians Seated Beanie Dog Wizzer with Red Collar & Black Spot on HeadLooking for a (I think is from) 101 Dalmatian beanbag puppy from when 101 Dalmatians first came out using real actors/ actresses. I had got him from Blockbuster videos, for $5, I think back in 1996 and had him ever since. He’s about 9 inches in height, about 6 inches for the waist :) His torso is a beanbag, while his arms, legs and head are all cotton stuffed. In the pictures, besides the noticeable scratched eyes, he’s missing a brilliant red vinyl/ leather collar. Notice the black dot on his forehead. I never knew why he had it.

I had gotten him from Blockbuster videos for about $5 I believe back in 1996 when the first 101 Dalmatians movie starring Glenn Close and other real actors and Dalmatians was a box office hit.

When I was little, my mom had bought me and my sister a pair of Dalmatian plush. The one I got became my best friend, never a day did I slept without him next to me or I traveled without him. And I still have him! When I had gotten older, my oldest sister bought me a new Dalmatian, roughly at the time 101 Dalmatian was making a hit in theaters in 1996, as a replacement for the first one because he now looks raggedy. However, being very fond of my first Dalmatian plush, I didn’t really grow into my second Dalmatian.

Then later in 1996 when 101 Dalmatian was hitting Blockbuster video rental shelves, I had gone to Blockbusters with my mom, who wanted to rent a movie. I came across a table filled with various plush and bean bag animals. My mom wanted to leave, but allowed me to pick one from the table; I didn’t know which to get, all were tempting. It came to a point where if I didn’t pick anything, I would’ve left with nothing. I then randomly picked up a beanbag Dalmatian without thinking. I just wanted something, a new toy, as I was still a kid. Little did I, my parents or my sisters know, I had picked up a new best friend. To this day, he is still my best friend who is always right beside me when I’m sleeping or wherever I am in the house. As I am 22 now, taking him places is odd. But once in a blue moon, he travels with me.

If I ever lose him, I would be losing the longest friend I’ve ever known, a major puzzle piece of my life.

Thanks,

Saharath

Searching – 2002 Hallmark CREAM Bean Bottom RABBIT – GREEN, LAVENDER, PINK

2008 Hallmark Beanbag Bottom Cream Rabbit with Green, Lavender, Pink BodyMy 8-yr-old daughter Kenna lost her “Baby Bunny” about 2 years ago. The bunny was purchased as a baby gift when Kenna was 4 months old in 2002, from a Hallmark Store at the Galleria in Redondo Beach, CA. It was a beanbag-bottomed bunny with floppy ears. The face, feet and hands were cream-colored. The bodice was pastel green, lavender midsection (embroidered with a butterfly, flower and carrot), and light pink at the base.

She took it to school to show to a friend, and we believe she lost it on the playground. She was devastated. To this day, even the mere mention to Kenna of “Baby Bunny” evokes such sadness and tears for her long-lost friend. We spoke to janitors at the school, searched the lost and found for months and even posted flyers around school. My husband and I have searched through literally thousands of images on Google and eBay, to no avail. I’ve written to Hallmark Corporate Headquarters, who said they could not help us, as individual stores can order merchandise independently. We are hoping you, or readers of your blog, can help us.

Thank you to anyone who can assist us in finding another bunny.

FOUND – 90′s Beanie BLUE OVAL MONSTER Named GLUTZ

Posted by | Filed under FOUND | Mar 27, 2010 | Tags: 90's toy, beanie, childhood memories, plush monster
No Comments »

90's Beanie Monster Named GlutzI’m not sure if you will be able to help me or not, but may as well ask. I’m looking for what used to be called Glutz, a beanie toy. It’s an oval shaped beanie monster with blue cotton fur (not fluffy fur). It had beans in its bottom, white eyes made of cotton that were sticking out, orange fuzzy hair on the top of his head, and legs on either side (no arms). He had felt sharp teeth. He was sold in The More Store (UK), and there were many made at the time. I would say the toy would be about 13 or 14 years old.

There were larger versions that fit in my hand and miniature versions. There were other monster toys made in the set, I’d say another 5 or 6 kinds and again they came in miniatures. It was around 1997/1998 that I got it, and a miniature or the normal size would be fine. I’m not too bothered about the size.

It means quite a lot to me, and it would be great if I could find another. Of course you are based in the US, but I guess there’s a chance you may come across one. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the manufacturer or the toy’s names, only that my toy was called Glutz. I hope this is enough info!

Heather
