Searching – RUSS No. 24521 GERTRUDE BRUNETTE DOLL
I’m looking for a RUSS No. 24521 velour girl doll named GERTRUDE. She has light brown fuzzy hair with an embroidered face. She’s wearing a hot pink velour shirt embroidered with a rainbow star, a green velour skirt, and white cotton panties. She has attached purple shoes, and she’s wearing a hat with yellow and green checkerboard trim.
This is my daughter’s favorite doll, and the spares have also been lost. I hope someone can help.

My daughter was gifted a Gertrude Russ doll when she was 5. Now she is 13, and her doll has holes in it, no clothes on her, and the doll is worn out. She still takes her to bed every night, and I would love to find her another one to treasure.

Searching – 2002 RUSS BRUNETTE DOLL Wearing PASTEL GREEN SLEEPER with BEAR on Chest + CAP
I am looking for a replacement baby for my daughter, who is heartbroken after it was left on a plane. It is a RUSS doll named Timmi, with a teddy on the front, and it is sea green. We found it in a catalog from 2002. I have an item number from the old catalog, but it has been discontinued for awhile. If the doll is 10 inches big the item number is 26840, and if it is 14 inches long the item number is 26841. Hope this helps.
She has had it since she was a baby, and of course like many of us, became attached to it and used it for comfort. It has been squeezed during many thunder storms, has watched many Christmas presents being opened, and has been fed several pieces of birthday cake over the years.
Last week on a turbulent flight from London Gatwick to Toronto, it came out of my daughter’s carry on, and was lost in the rush to get off the plane.
I would like the original, but believe the Thomas Cook Airline will not have any luck in returning it. So a replacement would be better than nothing.

There was a mix up about which doll Dona needed. It turns out that we had the one she needed in stock, after all. So here’s her excited email, after she Skyped her granddaughter in Germany:

Yes, Sophie has seen Stinky Baby!!! and she screamed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her eyes were so big! She kept saying, “It’s Stinky Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grandma I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” ha ha She kept screaming, “Put her in your suitcase Grandma, don’t forget her. Stinky baby is the right one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” My daughter even got a little choked up. Three years, and here she is. I still can’t believe it. Thank you again.
I’m looking for a Carter’s small brown hair looped pigtails MY FIRST DOLL with a pink sleeper, bunny slippers, and a rattle.
My twin granddaughters have had these dolls since they were born. One of them lost hers and is having a very hard time. Their Daddy is in the Air Force, and they are stationed in Germany. I bought the dolls for them when they were first born, and Sophie and Lilly will be 5 this November. These dolls are so important to them. They just love them to pieces. Finding another one sure would make a little girl so happy.

Searching – Carter’s Just One Year BRUNETTE PIGTAILS MY FIRST DOLL
We have a mailing list of people looking for this same doll in blond or brunette.
I’m looking for a duplicate of a Carter’s Just One Year brunette doll with cloth pigtails, not yarn. She’s wearing a pink sleeper with dark pink and white polka dots collar, cuffs, and bottom of the feet, with My First Doll embroidered on the sleeper.
I know it was purchased at Target on clearance in late July/August 2009. Once it became clear my daughter was choosing it as her lovey, I went back to get a duplicate, but no luck. I have only found one on eBay, but was outbid.

FOUND – RUSS Brunette DOLL Wearing PINK RABBIT COSTUME with BUNNY SLIPPERS
We now know the doll’s name is Tippy.
The doll of my little baby got lost, and she doesn’t quite sleep without it. I know it was a Russ Berrie plush doll with brown yarn hair, but here in Italy we find only new models. She is wearing a pink rabbit outfit with bunny slippers and a yellow flower on her tummy.
She loved it, and we did, too.

Searching – 2008 Carter’s BRUNETTE My First DOLL WEARING PINK DRESS with WHITE DAISY
My daughter since she was born has slept with this doll. My daughter has blond hair, but preferred this certain doll as her favorite. We have other similar dolls with blond hair, but she does not like them at all.
My wife and I took her for her 12 month doctor visit on Monday morning. We believe that our daughter had dropped her Lovie doll while I was carrying her to the car. So I feel extremely bad now that I did not notice her dropping it, as well as taking her to get shots which made her cry.
We have searched everywhere for the doll and backtracked our steps and have come up unsuccessful. Last night my daughter was up until 3:30am and could not sleep without her Lovie.
Any info on how to get one would be great and much appreciated.

Searching – Carter’s BRUNETTE DOLL Wearing PINK SLEEPER with UNBRAIDED PIGTAILS – No Rattle
My daughter’s favorite dolly was a Carter’s pink dolly with brunette hair. The hair was in pig tails, NOT braided, and she did not have a rattle, but had bean bag filling. The dolly is in a solid pink sleeper.
My 1 year old is so attached to her dolly that she even sings “dolly song” when she is looking for her. She started at nursery yesterday, and they have misplaced the doll. My daughter is so upset she won’t go to sleep. She has had this doll since she was born, and is very attached. She won’t get in the car without her, she won’t eat without her, she won’t sleep without the dolly. I might sound crazy, but she is attached.
Now that we don’t have dolly, it has been a nightmare. I am hoping that maybe you will be able to find one. She has one with a rattle and braided hair and wants nothing to do with it.

Searching – Carter’s BRUNETTE MY FIRST DOLL Wearing PINK – YARN BANGS & PIGTAILS
The picture shown is almost identical to the lost doll. But the difference is that the 3 bangs should be made of yarn…like the pigtails. The face and the rest of the doll are virtually the same.
I have a friend named Shana who is moving and has a 6 month year old girl, named Charlotte (shortened to Lottie), and she’s grown very attached to a particular Carter’s doll. She was given this brunette My First Doll doll dressed in pink when she was born. It does not have a rattle, and the bangs and pigtails are both made of yarn.
A week ago, a group of friends got together at a restaurant to give her a farewell party. Unfortunately, after everyone left the party and resumed the get together at a friend’s home, Shana noticed Charlotte being very disturbed and agitated. We then all noticed that Lotte’s doll was missing. Everyone looked everywhere for the doll…the restaurant, the car. the parking lots and nothing. Since then everyone has been taking the time to see if anyone can find the doll in a store or online.
I recently found one that is almost the same doll, but it has flat bangs and the yarn pigtails. I had bought that doll (the one in the photo), but Lotte just set it aside. Seems there is no fooling Charlotte.
Truth is, Shana is a good friend, and during her pregnancy we have gotten to be great friends. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for her. When Lotte was born and I saw her and Shana together I realized an overwhelming love for Lotte. But that is another story all together.
All I know is I would like to find this doll if possible before Shana and Lotte move 700 miles away to live with her parents.

Searching – 2003? RUSS BRUNETTE DOLL Named MEG Wearing CREAM / YELLOW SLEEPER & BAKER’S CAP with Bear on Tummy
My 2 year old daughter lost her favorite doll, which she named Patty! It’s her absolute soul mate, and she cannot sleep without it! She lost it on Saturday, the 13th of June, in Cheltenham Town Centre between 3 and 5pm. Our family is devastated!
The lost doll is called ‘Meg’ and is predominantly yellow/cream in color. She is a RUSS doll wearing a bakers hat, which is cream with a yellow band. She has a pink bear embroidered on the body and a brown tuft of hair from the hat. She has a rattle inside and is made of velour. She is also known as angel doll, but she is a discontinued line made in about 2003/4. She was bought in September 2006.
I researched all over the internet but could not find the exact one, although I am purchasing Russ Berrie Little Prince, as it is a close match in terms of material and size.

THANKS THANKS THANKS very much for all your help. We bought the Carter’s doll on eBay a few days ago, but it wasn’t until today that it arrived home. I can not describe how happy, glad, and excited my daughter was. I could not resist and recorded her, because it was such a sweet moment. She was just saying, “She came back!! Mom she came walking !!” and kept hugging and kissing her.
Again thanks for all your help and hope. This made me think that I will probably need a replacement, because I do not want to go again through this. At the beginning I thought she was going to forget about it, but it was the opposite, the longer it passed, the more she talked about it.
I will keep always looking at your wonderful website to see if I have toys that other kids have lost, so they can feel as happy as my daughter felt today.

I am looking desperately for this darling doll. It has a pink velour dress and hat, trimmed in satin around hat and collar. The dress has some hearts and flowers that are embroidered in the front. I have seen some in eBay, but the one that I need has BROWN EYES AND BROWN HAIR.
My 2 year daughter lost it in the lobby of a hotel. She used to sleep with her, talked to her, and played with her all the time. Every morning when she wakes up she goes and looks for her all around in the house, and it breaks my heart. And every night before we go to bed she starts calling her.
