Searching – 70′s Animal Fair? DAKIN? Large BROWN & TAN BEAR with PROMINENT NOSE & OPEN MOUTH
I am looking for my bear that my father gave me in 1978 for Easter. I’m thinking it was made by Animal Fair or DAKIN, possibly picked up at Toys ‘R Us. It was as tall as I was when I was two years old. It was a brown bear, with a light brown face. His nose stuck out, and it had a brown or black pentagon(like superman symbol) for a nose and had a small opened mouth.
He has passed away, and it was the only thing I ever had from him. My mom didn’t see much need for it and has given it away.
I’ve had no luck finding it.

Searching – 70′s DAKIN GREEN TURTLE
I’m looking for a mid 70′s DAKIN turtle plushy about 9 inches long. She’s not shell filled, but she does have a little sister that looks the same and is shell filled.
My wife had this doll as a child. I have searched for 5 years looking and ran across her on eBay. After I surprised her with it, it became her treasure once again. Tammy the turtle became a beloved family heirloom in just 3 weeks.
Then last Friday our 2 year old smuggled her to a high school football game we think, and she was lost there. As strange as it may sound, my wife is having anxiety over the loss of this turtle.
I have broadened my search and found your web site. Can you please help?

Searching – SMALL BROWN BEAR with CREAM MUZZLE & EARS
This bear belonged to my daughter and was lost while on vacation. He was secondhand, given by a now deceased family member. He had a tag, but I never thought to check it. He had to have been purchased prior to 2002. My mother thinks he might be a Dakin, and someone else thought he might be a Gund. Since he was lost I have looked at hundreds of thousands of bears, and I remain unconvinced he is either.
Even a little more information about what he is would be gladly welcomed.

FOUND SIMILAR – 2006? DAKIN? Puffalump Style BLUE & YELLOW RABBIT with ORANGE TUMMY BUTTON & CARROTS on FEET
When our daughter was six years old my grandmother sent a large care package cross country with a number of stuffed animals in it. We opened it up in front of our daughter, and sure enough she picked the oddest bunny and made it her favorite.
A year later this bunny was still her favorite. We contacted my grandmother, who told me she got it from a vending machine in Atlantic City. She gladly got us a replacement, which came in very handy many years later when we lost the original.
Now that my grand mother has passed on, we are looking for another “Miss Bunny”, as my daughter has come to call her. The enclosed photo is a few years old, and Miss Bunny has seen a lot of wear and tear since then – and badly needs to be replaced!
Miss Bunny is mostly blue and yellow, with an orange belly button, and orange carrots on her feet. The fabric that Miss Bunny is made up of is sort like a Fisher Price PufFalump but isn’t; Maybe it’s a cheap knockoff. My wife thinks it was made by Dankin (DAKIN?). “Miss Bunny” is about 10 inches tall, and is about 8 years old!
Any help would make a beautiful nine year old girl cry tears of joy!

I’ve searched everywhere for the 1985 R, Dakin & co. pink and white Bunny. It has a rattle that says Baby’s First Bunny and the tag says:
R Dakin&co-1985 San Francisco CA, Product of Korea PA Reg NO 118
Please help me find it. I’ve had this since I was born, and she’s in really bad shape. I would like to store mine in a case and keep the new one out.

I am looking for a grey Mama cat with stripes who is lying on her side and comes with three kittens (white, black, grey), and the Mama has Velcro on her tummy so the kittens can be attached.
I used to play with this set of plushies when I was little and would go to my Grandmother’s house. It was my favorite thing that she and I used to play together, and recently I decided I would like to find one again. I actually found this site while I was searching for one, and you even had a picture of what I am looking for:
I guess it had been found on eBay once before, but sadly it was an old post, so I am far too late. Any help to find this lost plush is a great help.

I am looking for a lamb blanket that my 1 year old son has become very attached to! I picked this up at a thrift store brand new in the box, before he was even born. I threw the box away not thinking, I guess… and I really didn’t know the name of it or anything.
I know it just has a tag that says Dakin and the address, and it says visit Dakin on www.applause.com and a smaller tag behind that that says like two numbers and a letter. But after looking it up, I guess it’s a lovie blanket, but an older one. It looks just like the new one, but his face is blue and he doesn’t have the ribbon, but I think I pulled off the tag because of safety reasons right when I gave it to him.
He has gotten to the point where he wants him all the time and loves to carry him around. I would love to find another one like this if they still have them around… but I’m also curious about how old it is.

Searching – 80′s DAKIN Gray & White ELEPHANT
I am looking for another cute elephant like my mom got me when I was a child. I looked at the tag, and it is a Dakin, but that is all I know. He is gray with white on his tummy and feet. I’m guessing he was made in 1980 or there about.

Searching – 80′s DAKIN Seated SIAMESE CAT
I’m looking for a ’88-’89 Dakin Stuffed Siamese Cat. He sits on all fours, and is light tan, with dark brown accents. My father bought him for me in New Hope, Pennsylvania in 1989.
I’ve had this Dakin cat since I was born, but my dog chewed it up when I was about 2, and my godmother was a seamstress, so she tried to fix it to the best of her abilities. So Pickles’ (my cat =] )face doesn’t look anything like the way he did when my dad first bought him for me.

I am searching for a musical bear. The tag says:

All New Materials
Content: Shredded Clippingsand on the side of the tag, it has the number 15 in a circle.
This bear was most likely purchased at the Methodist hospital gift shop in San Antonio, TX. It was a gift from my Father-in-law to his son (my husband) at his birth.
We are now searching for another one, in better condition. We are having our first child, and would love to give our baby the same stuffed animals that we had growing up. He is about 8 inches tall when sitting up and about 5 or 6 inches across.
His music box is broken, so I don’t know what he played.

Searching – DAKIN / Applause Blue & White PLUSH PENGUIN
I am searching for a small 6″ plush penguin that I believe was made by either Dakin or Applause in the early 1990′s. I think that there was a picture of a hand on the tag, but the tag has been lost by now. It is either an emperor penguin or a king penguin.
If you know anything about this penguin, like the company that made it, when it was made, where it can be found or bought, or any other piece of information, please help!

Searching – DAKIN Yellow Winged DUCK with ORANGE DANGLING FEET Used to QUACK
My son lost “duckie” on a flight and is just heartbroken because he lost his best friend. He cries daily and wants to go back in time so that duckie will be with him again or go to heaven so he can find duckie. He just turned 9, so this is not a passing fancy.
I got duckie as a shower gift in 1999. He is a small, Dakin duck — maybe 4-6 inches tall, yellow with orange dangly legs and beak, no arms, just wings. It once had a tuft of white fluff on its head and quacked. It was not traditional plush fur, but more terry cloth or tightly cropped fur. It doesn’t need to be in pristine condition, since duckie was well loved.
There are a million ducks in the world, but only the one in the million is going to put a smile on Dante’s face.

FOUND – DAKIN / Applause PINK PIG
What a great site! I am trying to find a plush animal made by Dakin/Applause. They are pretty large with satin on the paws and nose. My boys each have one (a blue bear and a hippo) and I am really trying to find one for my baby girl, but can’t seem to find one anywhere!
I would love it if someone could help me locate one – I don’t even care which animal.
