Searching – KIDS PREFERRED LAMB with PINK POLKA DOTS & STRIPES
I am looking for a Kids Preferred white lamb wearing a pink outfit with stripes on the sleeves and polka dot jumper.
We had lost my 3 year old’s lamb “baby”, and it was the first time she’d been without it since birth. She was devastated and our night was long, to say the least. I’ve been looking to try and replace it, but I couldn’t find it anywhere until I found your website…………..
We did find the “baby” again, but I’d rather not have that again if we can help it. We can’t spend much on a backup, though.

FOUND – KIDS PREFERRED 2006 YELLOW BEAR
I am looking for a 2006 Kids Preferred plush yellow bear with a yellow bow sewn onto the front of the neck. My daughter has “loved” it to near exhaustion, and I wanted to have a replacement on hand, as it is her favorite friend.

FOUND – Kids Preferred BLUE VERY SPECIAL BOY Star Shaped LION
Hi, I am searching for a duplicate of my son’s lovey, and I am having trouble. He has a Kids Preferred Comfort Cuddles Blue Lion (but also kind of looks like a bear except for the “mane” ruffle around his neck~ My son calls him “blue bear”). It has a star on his chest that reads “Very Special Boy”.
My son LOVES this bear and it goes everywhere. He needs to be washed every few days, and his stuffing is quite poor. My son loves to rub his tag on his side, but the tag has now shredded and he keeps pointing to it for me to fix it, but doesn’t understand why mommy can’t.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Searching – KIDS PREFERRED BLOND DOLL Wearing PINK DRESS, HAT, SHOES Shiny Flower Applique
I am looking for a KIDS PREFERRED blond doll wearing a pink velour dress, with an appliqued aqua shiny flower on the dress. She’s wearing matching Mary Jane shoes, white knit tights, and a satin bow on the attached pink velour hat.
I can’t tell you how great it would be if you could help me find another one of these dolls. My three year old daughter has had this baby since she was born (my father gave it to her). Although we bought back ups, they all were lost over the years. The last one she had was lost on Christmas Day this year. We believe the baby was accidentally thrown away with all of the wrapping paper from Christmas morning.
My daughter is so upset … every night when she goes to bed it is so difficult. She continues to cry for that baby. We went all over town today trying to find one that was close, or one that she would accept, but she wouldn’t have it. None of them were the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

FOUND – KIDS PREFERRED LAMB with PINK POLKA DOTS & STRIPES
My 2 year old lost her lamb lovey at the mall and even though we retraced our steps numerous times, we never found it. I left our name at all of the store customer service desks, but no one called us.
It’s a Kids Preferred plush stuffed lamb…~15 inches with a pink polka dot body and pink and white striped arms. The head is white and the lamb has blue eyes. The ears and feet are lined with pink satin.
Not only is my daughter sad, I am devastated, too. Some of my best memories from her babyhood were cuddling her and watching her rub the lamb’s satin ears. In fact, she ended up rubbing all of the satin off.
I have looked online at all the places I can think of, but I have not been able to locate another lamb. If anyone could help, I’d be extremely grateful.

We lost our home in a fire 2 days ago. Our 3 year old daughter had a stuffed doll that she dearly loved and took everywhere with her. (The Doll was lost in the fire) I do not have a picture of her right now.. but our family is looking to see if they can find a picture of the doll.
I believe that the brand was “Kids Preferred”. She was made of a pink and white waffle (thermal) material, was about 8-10 inches long, had CLOSED STICHED EYES, a lace (eyelet) edging around her face (kind of like a bonnet), white velour hands and feet, and a little pink silk bow on her front.
If you have anything that is close to this…we want to see it! We would give anything to get our little girl’s comfort doll back in a time of much needed comfort!

This bear, named “Bee” by my daughter, has become her favorite comfort toy. “Bee” does everything with her, and as a result, is becoming very worn and tattered, and his arms and legs may not last much longer.

Tips for Doing a Search for Lost Lovies
The key to doing an effective search on eBay as far as I am concerned is to use the Advanced Search Option (Seen just to the right of the Search Button).
Using the Exclusion box gives you a chance to get rid of lots of items that show up in search that you are not interested in, such as CD’s or DVD’s. Just exclude the words you see that are in the titles of these unneeded search results.
Then check the Search Including boxes for Title and Description AND also, farther down the page, for Include Store Inventory.
So now comes the really hard part – deciding what to search for.
You have to think about how a seller, who knows nothing about your lovie, would list it. If the tush tag has a name for the animal, that’s a good term to use, as well as the brand. If there is a saying embroidered on the doll, or if it plays music, those words make good search terms. Put any phrase you want to look for in quotation marks.
Some sellers say plush, others say stuffed. Some say rabbit, while others say bunny. Use parenthesis to use both terms as either or. For example – (plush,stuffed)
Sometimes you’re not sure if the seller will call it a blankie, or a blanket. Use the asterisk to look for any term that starts with blank. Example blank*
So you’ve searched for brand, and the name on the tag, with no success. Try the color and type of animal, such as brown bear. Obviously that will pull up way too many to look through easily, so try to find some other feature that the seller may mention in the title or description. Sitting, standing, “lying down”, sleeping, praying … these are the types of words a seller might use.
Look for words to describe a toy, such as crib pull, or just pull – press – (windup,wind up)- rattle, teeth*
Sometimes the only thing to do is just look through lots and lots of photos to find the one you need. If that’s the case, try to leave the search terms as general as to make a manageable number of listings, then choose View As Gallery or Snapshot just above the eBay listings. The default is List, but if you are looking at just the photos, make it easier on yourself. That’s how some of our Fabulous Finders find lovies in large groups of toys for sale in one listing.
Down at the bottom of the page is a set of choices about how many result items you wish to see on a page. If you are on a high speed connection, set Items per Page to the maximum available.
So, now that you are an expert hunter, there is an item number on the right side of every eBay listing under Other Item Info that looks like Item number: 250308735884. Write your comment on the post of the seeker, using that number instead of trying to copy/paste the address of the listing. Blogs don’t handle long URL’s well at all, and this makes an easy way for someone to find the listing you found.
All these same suggestions can be used with slight variations with all of the popular Search Engines. You get better results on Google if you put a + sign in front of each term. Example – +”Kids Preferred” +blue +bear +(plush,stuffed) +blank*
If you end up with some long URL to share on the comments, copy the URL, then go to http://tinyurl.com. Paste your long address in, and it will give you a short version you can post.
It takes time to learn how to hunt effectively on the Internet, but it’s a worthwhile skill to master. I hope these suggestions have been helpful to you.

FOUND – Kids Preferred SMALL PINK and WHITE DOG
We have a Kids Preferred floppy pink puppy, but it’s not the 12″ one they now sell. It is a small 4″ pink and white one. It looks exactly the same as the large ones.
My daughter has used it as her lovey for the past 1.5 years. It is tearing in places and very dingy (looks gray now instead of pink and white). I have looked everywhere for a replacement just in case it gets lost or is damaged beyond repair, but they do not make the small puppy anymore. The larger puppies they make now just will not do, my daughter doesn’t like them.

I am looking for another Blue Star Elephant for my son. It is his absolute favorite and he takes it everywhere. After 50+ washes ‘Elphy’ is in poor condition. He likes to rub the satin on her ears and bow. That’s why no other will do. Her poor ears are falling off.

My granddaughter has lost her Ellie, who has become like a family member. She is three years old, and cries for him every night. She told her mother that she really needs Ellie to come back home. This is her comfort, when she is tired, her friend when she is playing , and her support when she is sick. I will pay for him, that is not a problem, The only problem is finding him, Can you help? Searching – Kids Preferred GOLDEN BROWN DOG with BROWN Velour EARS, NOSE & PAWS
My 22 month old daughter and I were house hunting recently and lost a beloved floppy dog from her grandmother. I believe the dog is made by Kids Preferred. We received him as a gift in 2006. It is such a generic looking dog. It’s golden brown, with darker toned paws and inside the ears, and it has black eyes.
Normally we do not let her take him out of the house unless it is for an overnight trip, because we are that fearful of losing him. But this past week she has taken to having fits and tantrums where she would not leave the house without him. So, I let her bring him with us, because I knew it would be a long day of being in and out of the car.
She insisted on bring him in the houses and I was keeping a good handle on the dog. I let my real estate agent help me watch my daughter while walking through the houses and didn’t realize the dog had disappeared along the way.
We are trying to contact the owners of the houses we visited, but either way, it is time we get a back up. She spent an hour before her bedtime that night looking in every room for her doggie, but we eventually managed to distract her with another bedtime buddy. The saddest part is that my daughter keeps asking me where Doggie is when she goes to bed and when she wakes up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FOUND – Kids Preferred PINK BLANKIE with POCKET for SMALL PINK RABBIT
Yes, I saw it and I won the bid! Way more than I wanted to pay, but well worth it. Now I have a spare! Your site and service is awesome.
We lost my daughter’s suitcase at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. All we needed back was the pink “Bunny Me”, which she has had since infancy. My 3 year old was very sad and wanted her “Bunny Me” back.
It is a Kids Preferred blanket that measures 12 inches by 12 inches. Bunny is about 7 inches tall head to toe.
I got an email from the airport that a bag was turned in, and thankfully the blankie was in the bag. Someone helped themselves to the 2 DVD players, 24 DVD’s and her pink headphones. All the missing items can be replaced, though. The most valuable thing was still in the bag!
I have quite a few “blankies”, as I bought a lot, hoping to avoid having my daughter get attached to one. I failed miserably, because she got attached to just one.
After that scare I am looking for a backup!!!

Searching for a DOG for a DOG! … 1997 Preferred Plush DALMATIAN Dog
My dog has slept with this dog for 7 years, and it is on its last legs. I have been looking for over a year for one, and I cannot find it anywhere.
This dog is my child and this is her favorite thing, so I have to find one.
I am a teacher and she goes to school with me a lot, and the kids just love how she carries her dog around. I can’t imagine not being able to see her carry it around and go to sleep with it in her mouth.
The tag is pretty worn out, but on one side it says The Preferred Collection and on the other side it says Preferred Plush 1997, Los Angeles, CA. It’s around 13 or 14 inches long. It is kind of stretched out so that is why it is hard to tell exactly. It isn’t a beanie, but has stuffing in it.
I would greatly appreciate any help finding another one. There has to be one out there somewhere.

Searching – Carter’s KIDS PREFERRED BLUE ELEPHANT with PINK HEARTS on YELLOW PAWS
I am looking for a baby blue elephant made by Kids Preferred (a Carter’s brand). He has yellow paws with pink hearts on the paws. I believe it was a Kohl’s Cares for Kids animal. I received it in December, 2006 as a gift.
My son Nolan is so attached to him that he is beginning to fall apart and smell! I am looking for the same one, so I can replace him once he falls apart completely, as well as have a backup to avoid a catastrophe if Ellie becomes lost. My son is a great sleeper because of “Ellie”, as he cannot wait to go in his crib to get him.
I have called the manufacturer and looked on EVERY website. Please let me know if you can help.
