Searching – 80’s Heartline SMALL PINK BEAR
I’m looking for a Heartline pink bear about the size of a big hand. I got ‘Pinky’ when I was born in 1989.
My mom got it from a good friend of hers at the baby shower. I have been completely attached to him ever since. He used to be pink, but since he’s gone everywhere with me since I was born, he’s now greyish. He accidentally fell in the toilet once.. perhaps more than once (he’s been washed since though.. no worries), his head has come off in the car (I had buckled him in and then accidentally grabbed him too quickly), and he’s been lost many a time (which instigated breakdowns as a child).
Just recently he traveled to New Zealand with me, also. It’s rather odd, but he’s kind of family to me.
I’ve always wondered what he would look like newer. I cannot remember him any other way than how he is now. I would never want to replace him, but I would love to have another to perhaps give my child when that journey comes. I have been looking everywhere on the internet for him, but no luck. Could you help?

Hey Linda,
I also received one of these Heartline bears when I was born in ’89 by my mother’s best friend (and my twin brother had a yellow one). My bear Rupert looks even worse than yours (greyed, worn material, holes, the works really). I know that doesn’t help you, but I think I do have some photos of me as a baby with my bear brand new looking in the background if that’s of any help to you?
I stumbled across your post while trying to find a new version of the bear myself, glad to know that someone else was thinking of the same thing.
