70's Eden YELLOW YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE Windup ELEPHANT

We have a mailing list of people looking for the yellow and also for the blue versions of this elephant.

I had this 70’s Eden elephant musical windup toy that played You Are My Sunshine as a child, and it was my favorite stuffed animal. In fact, I had two of them – when I was about 5 or 6, my original elephant broke and stopped playing the music (which I fell asleep to every night), so my parents bought me a new one.

I kept both elephants, but they (along with other stuffed animals I had saved) were ruined years ago when my parents’ basement flooded.

I am now expecting my first child and would love to be able to give the elephant (or something similar if it proves impossible) to him or her.

Rebecca – I think I just found your elephant. I bought a lot at an auction and buried in the bottom of the bow was this most wonderful elephant. It plays you are my sunshine and the head moves. It is yellow with pink ears and a pmo pmo nose. The music sounds great. I gave him a spot wash and he cleaned up very nicely. I was going to place him near my bed with my old teddy – but he sounds very imporatnt to you.

I think the head was faded, like how vintage My Little Ponies with pink hair fade to white when in sunlight, so that’s what had happened.
