FOUND – Large PUFFALUMP COOKIE MONSTER with RED BACK PACK Top Priority
We still have a mailing list mostly of teachers looking for this Cookie Monster to use with their students.
I’m looking for a Puffalump Cookie Monster with a back pack. Covered in his characteristic deep blue Puffalump type fabric, this Sesame Street fellow has a huge black mouth and large white eyeballs sticking up on top of his head. This Cookie Monster has soft googly eyes, not the hard plastic eyes he usually has. He even has a tummy button, he’s so well made! He’s about 16″ long and about 12″ wide.
You can put objects in his mouth and…voila they end up in the backpack! I am an early intervention speech-language pathologist and I am always looking for ways to get my wee-uns to progress. This toy is great for teaching them how to play “feed baby”.
Thank you for any help!
Anne

Doesn’t have the red backpack. Only one I could find hope this helps

It will have to have the backpack to do what a speech person needs. This is a different Cookie Monster, as the backpack is not removable.
Here’s one. It even has cookies!

This one is different. I saw an article about it. “Count ‘N Crunch Cookie Monster is a new interactive plush toy from Playskool and Hasbro. Cookie Monster comes with three cookies which he counts out loud before “Om, nom, nom!” gobbling them up with his classic sounds. After being “eaten,” the cookies fall into his backpack which children can open and start the process over again.”

I saw another article that said these would be available in the fall of 2011. Thought perhaps this would help (?)
Thanks, Judy. I sent this to both the teachers who are looking.
WalMart has the new version in stock:

There is one on ebay that is pretty cheap but it does not have any cookies. I assume you could use other play cookies with this.

Best Wishes!
Thanks, Susan! Teachers use different objects as food as a language development activity, so the cookies are not needed on the old version. The new talking version requires the electronic cookies to work.
Here’s one! High price, but trust me, it’s worth it!
