  3. Hi, wager witch! Yes, we do a thorough search of the Internet before we post these requests. Sometimes the requests never even make it to the blog, because we find the lovey somewhere online. But that doesn’t happen very often.

    It’s a shame, but these companies change the toys every few years ever so slightly, so they have a “new” toy, retiring the old version. That makes it awfully hard to find a replacement, sometimes.

    And most children won’t accept a substitute lovey unless it’s exactly like the one that’s missing. Or, as in the case of this nine year old, what would be the point?
