Searching – Carter’s YELLOW Spotted GIRAFFE with PINK MUZZLE and AQUA HORNS & SPOTS
This giraffe is our daughter’s best friend, “Ano” — ironcially enough, “Ano” is a truncated version of “I don’t know where he is”, which she would always ask when she couldn’t find her little giraffe.
Well, the name is a little more accurate now than we would like — we don’t know where Ano is, lost on the way to the park in Manhattan. This was the very first toy my wife and I bought our daughter Sasha, and it was love at first sight.
They were inseparable, and she’s distraught having lost her crib mate.
We’ve looked everywhere and haven’t been able to locate the same giraffe, new or used. We bought it in 2006 at Buy Buy Baby if that helps at all. I’m not sure if it’s a GUND or Carter’s stuffed animal — having researched them both, it seems like it might have been either. (CONFIRMED AS CARTER’S)
Anyhow, I came across your wonderful site and thought I might ask for a little help! Any leads to finding Ano would be greatly appreciated!

Is this toy musical? I was in Walmart today & they have one by Carters Child of Mine that looks very similar to the photo, but it's a wind up musical toy. I took a picture of it with my cell phone, I'll upload it later. Maybe it would make a suitable replacement until the real friend can be found. The price was $10.76 & they had several.
Nothing was said about it being musical, but I will certainly forward your photo as soon as I get it.

This is a Carter’s Child of Mine toy – we have the same one, my daughter also loves it – I came across this post while looking for a second one to have a spare at Grandma and Grandpa’s. Any luck in finding one – if you do, I would love to know where I can get a new one…
