Well, her eyes got as big as saucers, she hugged her and squealed with delight, then she looked at it…I mean, REALLY looked at it, gave it the doubting once-over look and asked, “Is this Gerry? Is this really Gerry?” I said, “Doesn’t it *look like* Gerry?” She said “Yes, but she looks so clean.” I said, “Well, maybe she just had a bath.” After which she proceeded to smell her and the big smile returned and she said, “Yes! Yes! She DID get a bath! Gerry, Gerry…you are so CLEAN!!!” Then she ran upstairs to re-unite Gerry with her baby Raffi. Whew!

, FOUND – Small GUND? Brown GIRAFFEI’m looking for a plush giraffe given to my daughter on her 3rd birthday in 2003, so it could have been made in 2001 or 2002, I suppose.

“Gerry” was the mommy to “Raffi”, but we lost “Gerry,” so now Raffi is sad and so is my daughter.

I think it might have been a Gund brand, but I don’t remember. It was about 8 inches tall, I’m guessing…no posing legs or rattle, etc.

  2. You are so very sweet to look, but I don’t think that’s it. Hers did not have wire in the legs. I’m actually “watching” a giraffe just like it on eBay now in case it’s the only thing I can find. I’m going to wait a bit and see if one just like hers will surface, and I have an email in to the Gund corp. office to see if they can help me. If not, I’m going to buy the one you found and tell her she went to the “doll hospital” to get an operation to help her stand up better, LOL. Bad, lying Mommy, I know… POST CODE #111108-4

  4. I think I found Gerry! We will see in a week or so when I give it to my daughter, but after receiving info from the Gund corporation, I’m fairly certain I was able to locate one that looks like the one she lost. Thank you so much for this wonderful service!
