FOUND – CARTER’S BLOND DOLL Wearing a PINK SLEEPER & KNOTTED CAP
I received a Carter’s plush pink baby doll 6 years ago at my baby shower, and now wish I had received 5 of the same one.
When my Daughter (now 5 1/2) turned two, she glanced across her room, gazed into that dollie’s eyes and hasn’t let go since, seriously. Her Dollie is her pal, her buddy and her security. She has some medical issues, so we always take Dollie to every Doctor visit, follow-up and they always allow Dollie to go into surgery with her. She literally takes her everywhere.
Of course I have washed and cared for her Dollie since day one, but she is literally falling apart. I have bought so many others that look similar, but once I get them home, she wants nothing to do with them. Her Dollie is so worn, you can see the stuffing and small rattle inside. I have gently sewn her worn threads to ger her by. Dolly at one time had more bangs and a pink ribbon around her neck.
Please help us find the same Dollie my Daughter has. I have searched and searched on line and do not see my daughter’s.

was your doll wearing a velour sleeper or thermal/waffle type. Was there any flowers or design on it? Were the arms the same color as the body? Darker or lighter in color?

was the cap originally in one knot or two knots on top the hat? Was the sleeper one piece, or did it have pants? Any writing on the doll’s front?

Our Dollie was wearing velour sleeper and she had no design on her sleeper, she was plane. Her body, arms and legs were pink, all the same color. The cap was in two knots on the hat. Sleeper was all one piece. She didn’t have pants or a jacket or anything, and no writing at all or no flowers or print on the front. Hope you can help us.

I think that I got 2 that were similar to yours as baby shower gifts too. But I’m pretty sure the hat had one knot and the bangs were blond. I would guesstimate that the dolls were apx 10 inches tall and fairly flat. If this sounds close enough I’ll start digging through toyboxes until I turn one up. Well Tami you did it, you searched, you found and you advised me. I made my first ever purchase from ebay (that sounds so weird, since I do everything on line), anyway. I purchased her and she should arrive soon. I can not thank you enough from the bottom of my heart. You are my daughters hero….Once the new Dollie arrives I will have to put her well-worn Dollie in a safe packed place. Thanks again so very much.

It’s a happy day. Our new Dollie arrived yesterday and I thought I was having a flash back. I can not believe how tattered and worn our orig. Dollie had become, after seeing the new one. Thank you AGAIN to everyone that had helped us in our search and find.
