I got the doll in the mail today. It is definitely the one I grew up with (only cleaner). Thank you very much for your help and the help of all the people that follow your site.
It’s a Playskool doll and now, thanks to Tami, we now have the correct photo.
Sean did a good job of describing it, didn’t he?
I am looking for my “lovie” (Blue Dolly) from my youth. It would have been for sale in the late 80’s to early 90’s.
The Blue Dolly was very similar is shape to the classic Cholly doll:
in that it is blue and the arms and legs of my doll were very stubby like the Cholly doll’s. Mine was solid blue, not plaid. He also did not have a vest like Cholly. My doll had a train emblem on his body. He may have been a conductor.
Another big difference between my doll and Cholly is the face. The face of my doll was remarkably close to the blue 1981 fisher price doll here.
The only major difference is that Blue Dolly’s blue body fabric went around the facial material so it looked almost like he was wearing a hood.
If you can help Sean find this 80’s Blue Cloth Doll with a Train on the Chest, THIS SITE IS NO LONGER ACTIVELY MANAGED. Please use Our FREE FACEBOOK GROUP, including POST CODE #040809-2 in the subject
