FOUND – GUND TOODLES LAVENDER Lying Down ELEPHANT RATTLE
I am at my wit’s end looking for a discontinued Gund baby toy. It’s a lavender elephant rattle named Toodles – the larger 8 inch size, code 58256 on the tag.
My five year old has been sleeping with Toodles since he was five months old, and has not missed a night. When he was a baby we put two in his crib one night in case he lost one in the night, and he woke up clutching both. Since then, four years later, he needs two to sleep! At one point we owned six, as we worried about losing them, but over time our supply dwindled to three, plus a “baby Toodles” which is smaller in size. Three weeks ago, two were left in a hotel room and have not been seen since. The one remaining, plus the baby, have not been enough for Logan, and I have searched everywhere for replacements. He wants “big Toodles”.
I am writing in the hopes that somehow, somewhere, you can help me. I keep thinking that eventually he will adjust, but it is breaking my heart every night. Is there anything you can suggest?

Hi there. Not sure if Jackie is still looking for “Toodles” but I have a Baby Gund Toodles 58256. It seems to be an exact match except for the colour – its faded to an off white / pink after nearly 7 years and lots of cycles through the washer. Its still in very good condition otherwise. If Jackie is still interested, I would be happy to give “Ellie” to a new loving home. Good luck to you. PS, this is such a wonderful site. It helped me reunite my son with his lost “Eli” Elephant. Jae – that is so kind of you! Although we did find a second Toodles, it was too new and has not really been considered a replacement. Its been over a year and at least weekly Logan will come out of bed saying “I miss Toodles”. I will with huge thanks welcome Ellie into our home!
