FOUND – Koala Baby FUZZY CAMO PRINT BLANKIE with GREEN SATIN LINING & BINDING
Please read this warning about satin lined blankies.
I am in desperate need of assistance in finding a replacement for my son’s “huggie” (security blanket). It is a green camouflage print. One side is a soft “fuzzy” green camo material, and the other side is plain green satin. The satin runs up over the edges onto the other side a little bit. It is made by Koala Baby, which only sold the blankie @ Babies R Us.
My son’s “back up huggie” was either blankie-napped or it ran away. (aka. We lost it.) When my daughter was young, she was attached to a huggie, as well. Therefore, when it came to my son’s huggie, I decided to keep a back-up around for when the other was in the wash, or when we needed one in a moment of crisis. That way we didn’t have to run around crazy looking for it. We could just grab the back up. However, now the back up is gone, and the remaining huggie goes though the ringer day after day and hasn’t had a date with the washing machine in ages. (I’m afraid of what will happen to it. My sewing skills are atrocious. Plus, he won’t let go of it long enough for us to wash it.)
Since Koala Baby discontinued this camo security blanket, I’ve been on a mission. My son just turned 2. He was many “huggie loving” years left, and his current huggie’s life span will be coming to an end in the near future. I’m just trying to be as prepared as I can be when that time comes by trying to secure another back up. However, it’s seeming impossible.
My son is such a good boy! He deserves to have the security of his huggie. So whatever I can do to find it for him, I’m going to do it!! Thanks again, Rosemary, for this great site. I’m sorry for such a lengthy description. I’m just desperately seeking to put a smile on my baby boy’s face.
I have searched everywhere to no avail. I have, however, found it on Amazon for $59.00. (It has been discontinued and was last listed for $4.99 at Babies R Us.)

Thank you, Corrie & Brieanna, so so much! Eventhough I’d LOVE to get him a brand new one, $39 is just simply WAY too much for us to spend on a huggie. I put a bid in for the used one on eBay. I’m just a little nervous about my son having a huggie that belonged to someone else & I don’t know where it’s been. I’m sure if I wash it good enough a couple of times I’ll feel okay with it. (He just loves to snuggle with his huggie, rubbing it on his cheeks & sleeping with it covering his face sometimes. Needless to say him & his huggie are extremely close!) Thanks again, ladies! My daughter had the pink satin blanket with cheetah print that was at Babies R’ Us around the same time. She lost hers as well, and I was devastated. I ended up spendindg $32 to replace it with a similar swankie blankie, but was still hoping someone in Target would find it and return the original.

I am SOOOO EXCITED! I got the email about the camo blanket so I decided to check ebay once again for the leopard version which I had mentioned in a comment above. Sure enough, they had one!!!! Granted it was $40 which is about 5x more than the original, but I had to buy it anyway! Thank you for having such an awesome site!
