Searching for Information – Pull String 70s RUFUS TALKING LION and I’ll Be Yours for Life
We now have a mailing list of people looking for Rufus, but Amy wants help putting a monetary value on the one she has.
Rufus the Lion was made in the 70’s and had a pull string to talk. He was kind of a yellowish brown, had a pull string at the back of his neck, an outie belly button, round, flat black plastic eyes with white felt behind them, and a bushy mane. He said, “I’m Rufus the Lion, I love you, I’ll be yours for life,” and a couple other phrases.I have a Rufus the Lion. He is my oldest childhood memory of Christmas. I would like to know how much Rufus is worth, because he’s already priceless to me.
Thanks,
Amy

I would pay $250 for a rufus the lion. If it’s in working condition I would go higher than that. I don’t think the value would be near that but to me I would pay that to get back part of my childhood.
Amy, If Rufus is priceless to you then don’t sell him. There are so things that money can not buy. You will regret selling him.
I don’t know if Rufus has an actual value, but I would say his value would be whatever you would be willing to pay for a replacement.
