FOUND – 1987 Potpourri Press PINK PUFFALUMP Style RABBIT Wearing DARK PINK DRESS & HAIR BOW

Thanks to one of our Fabulous Finders, we now know that Randy is looking for a 1987 Potpourri Press pink Puffalump style rabbit.
My girlfriend has heard all about how great your website is and how successful my search was this month, and now she wants to give it a try with her favorite childhood toy. We’re not sure exactly what she is called or who made her, but she is a silky, pink rabbit from the early to mid-1980’s, loosely stuffed all over, like a Puffalump, with embroidered eyes, wearing a dark pink dress and hair bow. The bunny is 13 inches from the top of the bow to the bottom of her feet – an even 12 inches, not counting the bow.
Deanna named her “Blankie Bunny” and took her everywhere throughout her childhood. Like I did with my favorite toy, she too wore Blankie Bunny right out to the point she is almost worn beyond recognition today! We’ve attached a picture of her sister’s version, which is in much better shape. All the tags are worn out and are blank.
We’re hoping someone out there will be able to identify this toy so we can start a search for an updated version. Half for Deanna to enjoy, half for a baby down the road to enjoy too! 🙂

Boy, that sure does look like the same brand. The tag on the bunny is worn blank, but the eyes DO seem to match, they are both Puffalump style and 1987 would be about the right year too!

I have a dog like this but I’m unfortunately unwilling to part with my Penny Puppy (I chewed the nose loose when I was little, too). I am fairly certain it’s a dog (not a rabbit) and I can confirm it’s made by Potpourri Press by the tag. Good luck! I would search for rabbits, too, just because people tend to mislabel animals with floppy, wide ears as bunnies instead of dogs.

Deanna says she distinctly remembers a cottontail on hers at one point, so she feels it’s a rabbit/bunny. But she was also 4 or 5 at the time, so we’re open to suggestion too! 🙂
We’ll definitely search for both dogs AND bunnies in the future! We’re positively still ACTIVELY looking!
I have been searching for this same exact bunny for years now! I got this bunny on the day I was born and carried it everywhere. It’s so worn out now that it’s barely recognizable! Please keep me updated if you find it!!

Forgot to ask in the email where you are located generally. Deanna believes she got her bunny as a gift from her grandfather, who lives in he Toronto area (we’re in MI).
We’d love to ask him what store or chain he got them from, but at 88, he probably has no clue.
Hopefully this isn’t JUST a regional or Canadian thing. 🙂

ITEM FOUND! Saw the comments from the former employee of Potpourri Press over on Kristi’s posting of this very same animal and saw that it’s official name was indeed “Blankie Bunny”
I Ebayed “Blankie Bunny” and lo and behold, this link was posted just mere MINUTES before I searched!
