FOUND – 90s RUSS Hoppity RABBIT WHITE & PINK with VICTORIAN COLLAR
We now know this is a RUSS HOPPITY BUNNY RABBIT.
Jennifer is still looking for this rabbit, and Carol is looking for a bear that may well be the same brand.
I’m looking for a 12 inch rabbit with brown plastic eyes and a light pink plastic nose. Bunny’s head, hands, feet, and tail are made of white furry plush fabric and stuffed. Bunny’s body is made up of soft pink fabric and was baby pink with small lighter color polka-dots. Bunny has a Victorian style collar with a baby pink thin ribbon bow sewn to the front.
Bunny has stuffing in the body, and in the base of the legs there is a bean-filled bag beneath the stuffing(contained beans not free flowing). Bunny’s ears stand straight up and are light pink inside. The tag has been gone for many years. My mother believes Bunny was purchased from Malloy’s Pharmacy in Stony Point, New York, in 1990.
I hope you can help me locate a replacement for Bunny. Bunny was given to me…well, taken. My grandmother had originally bought Bunny for my sister who had just been born. When I saw Bunny, lets just say it was meant to be, and Bunny became mine. Bunny was well loved over the years. He was washed and re-stuffed several times. Bunny is my best friend.
Now I am 24 years old, and Bunny is 21, and he is unfortunately getting worn. 🙁 He is still kept on my bed, slept with, and cuddled all the time. If he were ever damaged I’d be devastated.
I have searched high and low, and I need help! I would like to find a replica of Bunny that I can continue to cuddle and love, without damaging my life long friend. Anything that can be done would mean more then words can express.
Thank you for your time,
Jennifer

Hi! I come across bunnies like this at thrift stores. I believe some are Carters or maybe Eden. Can you see the tush tag? That would help a bunch for those keeping an eye out for your bunny.

Karen,
Thanks for the info! The tush tag has been long gone 🙁 I’ve looked into carters before and they seem to have a similar “look”. I thought it might be that company, but still no luck. Keep your eye’s peeled!! Thanks so much again!

Your “Bunny” looks so much like my son’s “Beary” that is is eerie. Perhaps they are the same maker. Like the earlier post, I believe that Eden or Carters might have been the maker, yet there are enough differences to make me wonder if it’s another “knock off” of Carter’s or Eden’s. I hope we can find a replacement for our lovies.
So is the body pink? I have seen the bunnies with a country prints as the body with the fancy collar.

Yes the fabric used to be light pink with white polka dots. Very faded now

I am pretty sure this is a Russ Hoppity bunny. I have one but it’s not pink. There is also a floppity lamb. I haven’t seen a bear like it but I’m sure there probably was one.
here is a link to a pink one of Ebay:

This appears to be the bear in blue but the nose appears to be stitched not plastic.

I just want to thank all the wonderful people involved in finding “Bunny” and to the people who operate this website. Due to your hard work and information, my mother was able to locate another Bunny! He arrived today in perfect condition. A decade of searching is over! Another plush memory found! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Jennifer
I have this exact same bunny. I also got her when I was three and called her “bunny” she was an easter or birthday present and I never let her go after getting her. What was the brand if I wanted to find one too?
