Searching – 6 feet or longer Lots a Legs Commonwealth Caterpillar
Kirby now has quite a collection, so she is only looking for Lots a Leggs that are at least 6 feet long.
I am looking for an extra long Lots-a-lots-a-Leggggggs from 1984 made by Commonwealth Toys. The picture is from their website, so I think that particular one must be a special one they had made for the company.
I raise caterpillars now as a hobby, but I always think back to being a kid and going to Toys r us and seeing the Lots-a-Legggs hanging from the ceiling all the way down to where grownups could touch them. We were poor so I could only get one that had 5 sets of legs, but I always wanted one and wondered whatever happened to all of the ones hanging from the ceiling? Did they sell them all and they’re being passed down to kids and grand kids? Where did they all go?” What was the longest, possibly the one from the about us page on Commonwealth Toys website? I tried to email and call to no avail.
Thanks,
Kirby

My husband and I sell on eBay for a living and recently came across a 10 foot long turqoise lots a legs caterpillar toy. Our 11 month daughter absolutley fell in love with this toy. I’ve never seen any other toy light her up the way this one does. They jabber back and forth together adorably. I may pack it up for her as a sentimental toy when she’s finds another love, but we also may post it on eBay as it seems to be rare and possibly valuable (you always need a few bucks with a little one about;) ). You may want to periodically check RaimondiReserves under eBay or shoot an email to my account and I’ll let you know if we deceide to sell him.
We list vintage and rare toys quite often. Simon says games, skip-it, bumble balls, My Little Ponys, G1 transformers, Legos, Hot Wheels/Redlines etc. if you have any other interests.

DIANNE HAS SOLD HER LOTSA LEGGS! We have a pink Lotsa Leggggggs, copyright 1984, that is approx. 15 feet long, 75 pairs of legs. She giggles when moving her head and is in excellent condition, with the exception of places in the plush that have smooshed down from her being coiled. Should be able to fluff up. Never around smokers, pets or hoarders. Getting ready to list on ebay, but saw this first.

I am also looking for a 10′ long commonwealth lots of leggggs. My daughter had a pink one and passed it on to her cousin’s little girl but found out she had donated it to Salvation Army and would like one now for sentimental reasons.

I have a 24lg Lots-a-legs, form Austria. purchased in Innspruck Austria in 1987. He has hiking boot pattern on each foot, a back pack, a whisky bottle and a traditional Austrian felt hat.
He’s in good condition, a bit of dust but no fading, no wear. Available to sell. Any interest?

I have the 33′ apache boat the maker of lots of legs owned. Still has the inprint of the caterpillar on the side of the boat. I was shocked when I realized whose boat it was and what was on it!!

Here at Hornby Hobbies, we came across a pristine Lotsalegs in the factory, wrapped up in a box as tall as me and forgotten about for 20 years. I don’t know how long it is, but it took 46 of us to carry it out of the factory! I believe it will be put up for sale soon to raise money for Children in Need.
