Which Toy Did Your Child Like the Best? — 9 Comments

  1. My neice and nephews favorite toy was the cardboard box that their dvd players came in… go figure…

    Merry Christmas

  2. Now that’s a scenario I’m sure was repeated in many homes on Christmas morning LOL!

We shipped a stuffed animal overseas last year, and we received a very glowing feedback from the buyer. She then emailed us and said that her child had enjoyed playing with the styrofoam egg carton that we had used as packing filling more than she did the toy!!

  3. My son loved his Star Wars speeder bike that came with Luke Skywalker. That was the only gift Santa brought him. Mom and Dad give too many gifts throughout the year to give any during Christmas. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. With all the great toy information you have available on your blog, is your son the chief product tester?

One year, for one of our daughter’s birthdays, we splurged and bought one large loosely stuffed dog, which was out of our normal spending limit. That was all she got.

She loved Flopper so much that we had to put him away any time she had company … she would cry if they mistreated him.

And she still has him to this day.

  5. I saw a mommy dog the other day that had little nursling puppies! Soooo cute.

I only wish I had enough money to let my son test all the toys! In any case, he has very particular tastes that mirror his dad’s interests – aviation and space travel. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. My older daughter’s favorite was her new computer and the little one who is two really likes the pretend food for her kitchen that she got. She also got a pretend coffee pot and has been making us coffee all the time.

  7. I’m sure your older daughter will get years of pleasure and use out of the computer, but just my two cents on this one … think long and hard about putting it in her own room if she has Internet access.

As for the two year old, would that we could all enjoy the simple pleasures of pretend! She sounds precious.

  8. The dress up set has gotten the most play from my preschooler. It came in a cardboard “chest” with four outfits.

After that, a play dough kit.

  9. Sounds like your preschooler understands the value of pretend! Good for her, and good for you for providing those creative opportunities.
