We are looking for a duplicate of my son’s beloved stuffed frog toy. He was purchased 2 years ago in Destin, Florida, probably at an aquarium or store such as that. My sister in law went back to Destin recently and found similar frogs in different styles and colors, and we believe he was made by Great American Toy Co. I sure do hope a duplicate can be found!
We received this toy frog in a bundle of used clothing that came from a cousin last summer, and she is not sure where the frog came from, either. Our son Dennis is 15 months old, and he’s never shown partiality to a specific toy before, but several months ago we traveled across the country, and Frog was his constant companion.
He’s slept with Frog before this, but since we came back from our trip and Dennis suffered a bad ear infection, he has not made a move without this frog in tow. Frog eats with him, sleeps under him, accompanies him in the car, to the doctor, to every room in the house… While he was so sick, he could not be consoled unless he was holding Frog while we held him.
Anastasia has the identical frog in a different color, so now we know it is a NANCO frog.
He is magenta and neon orange and blue-green in color. He’s about a foot long, fully extended, I suppose. He is slightly plush in texture (velveteen, maybe). He has plastic orange eyes with black painted on eyeballs (ours are pretty scratched up). He might have even come from a vending machine, but we don’t know for sure.
Since Dennis has begun to show such an attachment, we thought it was time to secure a duplicate if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Sorry we don’t have any more information about the frog, but he is flamboyantly colored enough to catch someone’s eye if they should see one. Thank you very much!

I have the same frog in green, magenta, and orange. The chance of finding the same color is slim. I won him at Cyberstation (coin-op game station). Info on tag: Nanco 2001.
Good luck,
Ana
I added the brand to the post Anastasia. Thanks!
I’m trying to setup future comments to come to my email in case someone finds our frog!

Christi,
Can you confirm the length of the frog? I saw one at a thrift store today, 2 feet long, not the same color though (pink and purple). I didn’t get it because they want $7 for it and it’s about to fall apart. I really don’t understand how thrift stores price their used items sometimes.
Thank you for checking. I actually think he’s around a foot and a half long, but right now my son is sleeping on top of him, so I can’t get an exact measure. We would rather have the green one than a pink and purple one, so we can pass on the one at the thrift store. I sure appreciate it.
