I am desperately trying to find a replica of my 9 month old son’s favorite blanket, “Foxy”.

The blanket is large, it measures ~40×40, is light blue and has little brown foxes and green pine trees on it. It is 100% cotton and is only ONE thin layer. You can see the print through the back side of it. It was a FALL ‘07 item, from the Newborn Necessities collection.

My mom bought it when I was pregnant on clearance at Old Navy in December or January of 07/08. She said that it was not in a package and looked like it had been washed and returned. There were no others, but she knew it would be big enough for our (big) little man. When he was born, he was eleven pounds and WAY too big for most receiving blankets. This was the only one we had that was big enough to swaddle him in, so we used it frequently.

Well, frequently became exclusively as he is now completely attached to it. He won’t sleep or nurse without it, and it is actually getting to the point where he has a hard time sitting and playing if it is not right with him. This obviously makes washing it incredibly difficult. It has become such an integral part of our lives that before we go anywhere, even my 3 and 5 year olds ask “do we have Foxy?”

We have been trying to find another Foxy for months now. I have put up Want it Now posts on eBay (three now, since they keep expiring) and have searched tirelessly for several hours every week, and can still not find one! (I usually scour the internet on Friday nights and at least once during the week. It is a scheduled part of my weekend routine.) I have friends visiting the Old Navy “defect” outlet, but they have yet to find the blanket.
