Thanks to Kar sending me to a listing of 80’s Childhood, a very nice seller on eBay, I was able to show a good photo of this elephant, instead of the very much loved one Tina sent me, with the replaced eyes and trunk.
My son was given a dark blue DAKIN lovie when he was born by his Nani. Nani had purchased the lovie probably 15 years prior. (It took me awhile to have a baby…ha, ha) Anyways, Noki (as he calls it) is at his wits end. The eyes are sewn and the color is dark blue, unlike the “new” Tuscany Elephant lovie by Dakin/Applause.
The manufacturer’s name of the elephant is Juno. He looks just like the Tuscany one, but has sewn on eyes and the nose has been replaced because he loved it off.
