I am at my wit’s end looking for a discontinued Gund baby toy. It’s a lavender elephant rattle named Toodles – the larger 8 inch size, code 58256 on the tag.

My five year old has been sleeping with Toodles since he was five months old, and has not missed a night. When he was a baby we put two in his crib one night in case he lost one in the night, and he woke up clutching both. Since then, four years later, he needs two to sleep! At one point we owned six, as we worried about losing them, but over time our supply dwindled to three, plus a “baby Toodles” which is smaller in size. Three weeks ago, two were left in a hotel room and have not been seen since. The one remaining, plus the baby, have not been enough for Logan, and I have searched everywhere for replacements. He wants “big Toodles”.

I am writing in the hopes that somehow, somewhere, you can help me. I keep thinking that eventually he will adjust, but it is breaking my heart every night. Is there anything you can suggest?
