My son had a wind up horse that he just loved. It was light blue, with a white mane. It was a gift from his aunt when he was born in 1980. The horse played Frere a Jacque or Are You Sleeping.
In 1988 we had an F4 tornado hit our house, and horsie was never found. My son would call and call for horsie at the sight of our house. My heart was broken that we couldn’t find his dear friend. Of all the things we were able to recover from the debris I would have given them all up to find horsie.
My son’s aunt bought it at a department store, and that’s all she can remember. My son is now 28 years old, but I would love to find another “horsie” to be able to give him.
