We still have a mailing list of people looking for this lamb.
But I just have to share Debbie’s story with you. LOL!!!
I am also looking for this lamb … My daughter had lamb as a baby … When she went to pre school I had to send Meme (lamb’s name) with her (or she didn’t want to go to school). The teacher told me not to send Meme to school, because my daughter didn’t want to do anything but to be with Meme.
So that night I cut Meme’s ear off and put it into my daughter’s front pocket. She was fine with that. And this will be a big surprise for Christmas.
We still to this day talk about Meme…..
The only picture I have with the lamb has it attached to my young daughter’s hand. I bought it for her first Easter being that her name, Rachael, meant “lamb”.The lamb was named Baby by my daughter 21+ years ago, and it is STILL attached to her hand … although she is now nothing but a few dirty grey strings!
She sleeps with her to this day. There were many nights her brothers and father and I were out in the backyard with flashlights while she cried in her bed unable to go to sleep. We have traveled many miles backwards to retrieve her from places where she had left her.
Baby went to every childhood sleepover, gymnastics camp every summer, every overnight high school activity and to college, where she was introduced to her roommates. Baby has met many boyfriends as well.
I have been looking for years for a new lamb, although there is only one Baby. I tried as a high school graduation present, then a 21st birthday present, then a college graduation present. All these events have come and gone with no luck.
But I still have a wedding… those grey strings will be going down the aisle with her… and with luck, a granddaughter to look forward to. How awesome it would be to be able to give Baby, Jr. to her daughter!!!!!
Thank you,
Harrian
