This is a photo of the Mr. Ed talking puppet that was made in a similar style to the DOG PUPPET that Jill is looking for.

I’m looking for a talking dog hand puppet. My brother had one in the late ’60s- early ’70s. I don’t remember much about it, other than you pulled a string to make it talk & one of the phrases was: “You know what I like? Chocolate!”

I would love to get one for him as a gift, as he frequently mentions it. I don’t know who made it, or what it was called. I don’t think it had any clothes. I just remember that it was a medium brown, fuzzy, & said the phrase about liking chocolate. It was a hand puppet of the dog’s head & a fuzzy body, but I don’t think it had arms or legs.

I don’t know if it helps any, but when I was the same age I had a “Mr. Ed” talking horse puppet that was the same format: horse head, fuzzy body, pull string that said things in Mr. Ed’s voice.
