I’m looking for a DAKIN 1985 large tan bear with orange and brown calico print ears and paws. He had a heart patched on his tummy with TATTERED TEDDY written on the patch and a plaid ribbon around its neck in green, orange, and white that coordinated with the other patches.
I received a Tattered Teddy bear from my grandpa for my 5th birthday… 1985. I slept with this bear every night into my 20’s. I still have him, and he has held together amazing. He is a little more tattered than day one but has been through a lot. He’s gone through the washer, been thrown, dragged, hugged, chewed on by puppy, and a number of other things.
I wish I had another!
