FOUND – RUSS DOLL Wearing RED STRIPE LANZ of SALZBURG FLANNEL
I am trying to locate a cloth doll made by Russ. The doll’s clothing is made from a red Tyrolean stripe Lanz of Salzburg cotton flannel fabric.
My sister and I wore Lanz of Salzburg flannel gowns during the winter months at home when we were little girls. Our mother did, also. Now, I have my first granddaughter, and guess what she will be wearing this winter?…Lanz of Salzburg. Sometimes it’s the simple things that create those warm, happy memories associated with home and loved ones.
When I found out there might be a doll made from the special red striped Tyrolean cotton flannel fabric, I knew I would try to find one for our family’s newest member. I suppose you could say I am trying to continue a family tradition.
I appreciate your help in trying to locate this doll.
Thanks,
Carol

Hi there,
I was researching for my eBay listings and found your post. I have this doll….new with tags and the original bag. If you send me an email address I can email you a picture. She is actually made by Eden for Lanz of Salzburg. My plan is to put her out on eBay this week b/c she is rare and I could still get her out to someone by Christmas.

Carrie, Thank you for your response. I was able to locate the doll last December (from Donna 12/13/2011). Have a GREAT day!

I’m looking for the same doll!! Any tips on where I can find one?
I have this same identical doll. My sister gave it to me for Christmas in the early sixties. I also got the matching duffel bag ( still have) and nightie. Am willing to sell.
I also have two white teddy bears from Lanz wearing lanz nighties. The bears are also from the late sixties.
Let me know if u r still interested!

Just saw this post and had to comment–I had this very doll as a child and she quickly became my favorite. What wonderful memories! I named her “Sleeping Baby,” and she was so loved that her bonnet wore off and her nightgown is just a brown tattered rag. I’ve sewn up her feet and head, but she can no longer be washed, she’s just too delicate! Boy, would I love to have another to give to my child someday, so she could love it just as I did. 🙂

I am looking for the Lanz white bear with footsie PJ’s. But am willing to accept a nightgown. My daughter had one if these as she was growing up. We had a flood in our house and a foolish insurance adjuster ordered it to be thrown out and said it was damaged. (It was stained as many baby items are). My daughter is heartbroken because she wanted it for her daughter. I have been looking for years! Please help!
