I’m happy to report that the bear was returned!

The lost bear is back!!! We are all very happy about that, so the search can be stopped. Thanx for your help and trouble.

We are desperate to find a replacement for the stuffed bear our son has recently lost.

It has no tags or anything, but does wear a blue silk bow around its neck (it was given to my son with this silk bow). The height of the bear is about 30 centimeters (12 inches) and it is kinda floppy. We are looking for a blue one. We do know this bear also came in pink.

My son got this when he was born in 1996 from an aunt in Australia, whom we cannot contact anymore. So all we know is that the bear was bought in Australia, Brisbane area. Whether this was an expensive bear, or cheap, exclusive or not at all, we simply do not know.

My son is lost without him. He is now 12 years old and was never without this bear. It had it’s own voice – my son used a high pitched voice for that. My wife even made clothes for the bear. When my son lost him, the bear was wearing jeans and a white shirt(!).

My son is our only kid, and this bear was his biggest friend, and it helped him in many difficult situations. Last week my son started a new school in Holland. To get to know all these new kids, they all went on this tent camp for a couple of days. He took the bear with him and came back without it.

It seems to have disappeared into thin air. And we have tried every single option trying to get him back. No luck so far.

Since he came back from camp my son hasn’t had one proper night, and every evening he is crying a lot. He’s a very sad kid at the moment. It is so painful. It is breaking our hearts, too. We feel he should be able to part with his bear whenever he feels the time is right. That time was certainly not now, he still needs the bear, and we are trying everything to get him (or a replacement) back.
