Both these parents sent such precious stories I just had to put them both on, particularly since this makes SIX, FIVE, again SIX families who have asked for our help finding this dog!

Kimberly has written to say that she has the cat in this series on auction on eBay right now. The tag is one of those plastic papery feeling kind and just says Distributed by Target Corporation. Item number 0164 is on the cat, and she’s guessing the dog is very close, maybe one number off from that item number. She hopes that it will help knowing that it’s not made by a big company or anything. (Explains why no one could remember a brand name.)

Target just got back to me. They said they need the item number of the dog. The cat number didn’t match anything on their end. Oh well.

Hi — I am positive that they are from the same – I remember them when they were at the store.

Her guess is that the Target person didn’t have access to information about retired toys. I trust Kimberly on this one!!!!

Hi Rosemary!

We have a 2.5 year old boy. This puppy we call “blue puppy”. At bedtime our son lifts his shirt and rubs his tummy with Blue Puppy’s tail. When he is getting sleepier, he hands the puppy to me and says “try mommy try” and I have to tickle his tummy with the tail. Blue Puppy is now gray and blue not white. His nose is worn and he is beyond loved. I have searched for a back up for a while and feel for all the others searching for this puppy.

I did contact Target Corporate regarding the dog. They were responsive, but since I cannot read the maker on the tag they couldn’t help me further.

My next attempt is going to be to make one. If it comes out at all like the real thing I’ll let you know, but it will be difficult to duplicate this animal. I just was hoping to not go that far, but I am willing to if necessary. My fear is it won’t be finished until he is graduating from college:)

Anyway – your assistance is so appreciated. I too will be in touch if I find anything more in my searches.
