We put an extremely hard to find YELLOW Snuzzles Elephant up for auction recently. I had searched all over the Internet and couldn’t find another yellow one anywhere. I did find that someone had been looking for one, but as luck would have it, the Want It post was too old and no longer available.

These Playskool stuffed animals and dolls are particularly prized by collectors. The soft bodies are made just like a child’s real blanket sleepers, and the sleepers even have the safety bumps on the bottom of the feet. The fabric is always a soft pastel blue, pink, and yellow plaid. We’ve gotten to where we can spot this material in a whole pile of toys at a sale! We try to see which one of us can spot such treasures first LOL!

We sometimes have people ask us about what’s involved in selling on the Internet. We really enjoy the search, as well as the photography and research, etc. It amazes us how often our friends listen to our stories about some of our sales, and they seem to think the money is just pouring in! We always caution them that not all of what we find earns us a big profit, and we warn them that there’s a lot of time involved in our hobby.

This Snuzzle is a perfect example of what I mean. I really thought it would sell for a very big price, but it didn’t (maybe I “jinxed” it talking about it here LOL).

Sure, I was disappointed, but that’s life. I just wouldn’t want to depend on what we do for our sole income. My hat’s off to those who do make their living on the net.
