This giraffe is our daughter’s best friend, “Ano” — ironcially enough, “Ano” is a truncated version of “I don’t know where he is”, which she would always ask when she couldn’t find her little giraffe.

Well, the name is a little more accurate now than we would like — we don’t know where Ano is, lost on the way to the park in Manhattan. This was the very first toy my wife and I bought our daughter Sasha, and it was love at first sight.

They were inseparable, and she’s distraught having lost her crib mate.

We’ve looked everywhere and haven’t been able to locate the same giraffe, new or used. We bought it in 2006 at Buy Buy Baby if that helps at all. I’m not sure if it’s a GUND or Carter’s stuffed animal — having researched them both, it seems like it might have been either. (CONFIRMED AS CARTER’S)

Anyhow, I came across your wonderful site and thought I might ask for a little help! Any leads to finding Ano would be greatly appreciated!
