Usually folks write to us, wanting help finding a lost or ruined blankie, or sometimes a childhood stuffed animal, or dolly. This request is a little different – we received the pictures of this 1950’s doll and teddy bear, with some information, but the owner would like to know more.

I’ve looked everywhere I know to look, but I’ve not been able to help her out. Both the doll and bear are fully articulated (they have movable heads, arms, and legs). Neither one has any kind of manufacturer’s mark, and the doll is probably an early example of a painted hair vinyl doll.

So I’m asking for your help … anybody recognize these toys that hold such special childhood memories for this person?
