Thanks to one of our Fabulous Finders, we now know that this is a Mary Meyer lion.
My three year old daughter lost her stuffed lion last weekend at the Columbus, OH, airport. He is a stuffed lion, approximately 10-12″ long. He is one solid color, (tan) from head to toe. His nose is stitched on in a brown color. He has solid, small black eyes, (cute as can be). In his legs he has bean bag beans, but the rest of him is stuffed, (head, and body). Around his neck he has a red and white checked ribbon, and most unusual about him is his fur. His fur is very soft, and it has a checker pattern in it.It has a luggage tag on it with her name, but as of yet no one has turned it in. This lion is very important to her, since she has carried it with her everywhere since she was nine months old. She has been very upset since it has been missing, and she prays for his return multiple times a day. My heart breaks for her, and it kills me that the world would truly be so cruel as to throw away, or keep a child’s toy that has a specific request to return it if it’s found.
It seems like such a small thing, but I know that it would mean the world to her if he would come back. Everyday she looks in the mailbox to see if he has come home, and everyday there is nothing, and so she prays again, telling Jesus that she misses him, and can He please bring him home.
Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated!
God Bless,
Esther
