I’m desperately looking for an Eden My First Bear teddy bear that was lost this past Summer. He has a fur head and paws, and a multi-color pastel thermal body, and he’s about 12 inches long. I’ve tried to even buy something that is close to the same, but have not been able to find that, either.

I have twin girls who where born premature in December, 1999. They each had to stay in the NICU at the hospital for a period over 2 months after they were born. While there they each received an Eden teddy bear from the doctors and nurses that cared for them. The bears sat in the isolet bed along side them as they slept. I have pictures of the bears laying on top of them to keep them warm. I was told to take the bears home and sleep with them and then bring them back to the hospital. The bears where used to lay with them, so the girls could sense that I was near. Since I’d slept with them my scent stayed with the bears, and it would help comfort the girls when I could not be there. They both have slept with their bears every night since then (over 10 years).

One of my daughters lost her bear (Binkey bear) while we were on vacation in Colorado Springs this past Summer. It has been devastating for her so much so that she talks about and has written about how much she misses her dear “Binky Bear”. I even have a picture of both girls with their bears in the hotel where we stayed. She also has had many nightmares of someone coming and stealing her bear in the night from her and then harming it! Her sister has tried to share her bear, but it just makes matters worse.

If there is anyway you can help I’d truly appreciate it!! I’m so glad I was able to find this website.
