Another happy reunion!
Just an update to let you know that Tami was correct, and I received the bunny today. My heart if full of joy, and I can hardly wait to give her to Emily, my granddaughter. Your site is wonderful, and I plan to check it regularly and hope that one day I can help someone find their lost toy too and share in their joy as I am overwhelmed. Let people know not to believe their special toy is lost forever, as it is possible to find one with your help!
Thanks so much.
Sincerely,
Victoria
Hello Rosemary,
When our first grandchild, Emily, was born, we had custody of her due to her circumstances at birth. She is my son’s first child. We had her from birth until 3 yrs of age. Her dad came home to be with her when she was 3 months old, but the bond that we have with her is very strong as can be due to the circumstances.
One day, while garage saling, I found this cute little velour plush bunny, and I could not resist it, so I happily brought it home, washed it, and presented it to Emily. I had not idea how important this little bunny would become. It became her transitional toy that would be so important during her supervised court visits with her biological mother as she would always be upset leaving our home.
One day, when Emily was with her daddy, the bunny was lost. Tears flowed from all of us, not just Emily. No matter how many other bunnies we have given to her, to this day, the “old” bunny still comes up in conversations. Emily is now 6.
I check every yard sale and search every chance I get to hopefully find another “old bunny” look-a-like. Finally recently, I found your site.
It would mean so much to us to be able to give Emily a replacement bunny. She has had to endure so many things in her young life and it would be a heart warming gift.
Today, her daddy has another child and is with a new person however Emily has still got a strong bond with us. It was so painful to see her move out with her daddy as they began their life together with a new person, have another child and this month a 3rd little one will be born but Emily has lots on her plate for a little girl as she also sees her birth mother too. She is so confused and frustrated that we as grandparents always will worry for her.
This bunny was given much love. Emily would bring her everywhere. She became so worn that I had to make a flannelet pajama for her.
Please help find a new one, it is very important.
Thanks so much in advance. I look forward to your response and pray you will be more successful that I have been in the search.
