I’m looking for a 2003 North American Bear Company Baby Bunny Cozy in ivory. Bun-Bun is an ivory bunny (although at the time of her loss was quite in need of a washing) with a stuffed head and flat body. He is 8.5” inches big, about the size of a wash cloth and had two small brown embroidered dots for eyes.
What makes the 2003 bunny different from newer models are a few things. Both the new and older bunnies are a velour-type fabric but the 2003 isn’t as plush. The 2003 has small brown embroidered dots for eyes whereas the newer ones have larger, embroidered black eyes. The 2003 bunny’s ears are just a continuation of the same fabric that the whole bunny is made out of. The newer models have a piece of pink polyester sewn in the inner fold of the ear. The 2003 bunny does not have any noticeable seams on the head. The newer bunnies have a distinct seam that follows a “V” shape down the forehead of the bunnies. The newer models are slightly larger.
Our daughter lost her beloved lovey Bun-Bun at the circus on November 3rd and is beside herself without it. We searched thoroughly within minutes of my daughter dropping it and turned up empty handed. We retraced our steps and feel that if it had remained on the floor, I surely would have found it as I noticed it was missing within minutes of my daughter dropping it. In fact, in hindsight I remember when she would have dropped it – as she tried to grab our tickets in the box office. It was super crowded and we enlisted the help of many employees to look for it. I have placed ads on pages on Facebook and Craigslist with no luck. We tried replacing it with a recent model, but my daughter refuses them because of a change in the fabric and a few other subtle changes. I even had help from the company that made her lovey and they could not locate a replacement. She wakes up and searches her crib for her bunny in the middle of the night and cries. Please help!
Thanks,
Crystal
