Kimberly thought this bear was a Carter’s bear, but I immediately mailed her story to about 150 of our Fabulous Finders, and several wrote back within minutes, just sure that it was an Oshkosh instead. Some gave links to one on eBay that was about to go off sale, so we purchased it. Kimberly confirmed that it was the correct one, and it’s on its way to her!
Please help me find my son’s lost lovey! He lost it while in St. Jude’s hospital, in Memphis. It is the ONLY lovey he has every loved or wanted, and it hurts him so much to be without it. He is home from the hospital now, but isn’t expected to live very much longer. We’ve searched for months so I don’t expect to find the original, but if we could find him a replacement, it would be such a blessing.
It was made by Carter’s, and I got it new, around 2003. It is about 6” or 7” high. The bear is light brown with un-removable shirt and overalls. The shirt is white and the overalls are yellow, and both have a waffle weave texture. Across the top of the overalls is the word ”Carter’s”. It has a soft body, and there is a rattle inside.
You can post an encouraging word on his Caring Bridge page.
Please help!
