I have been looking for years for a velour caterpillar toy from around 1989-1990. He was approx 15-18″ long. His head was red with blue plastic sleepy looking eyes and two 1-2″ yellow string “feelers” on top of his head. He had a “V” stitched smile. The back two sections had squeakers in them. It was purchased in Wisconsin around 1988-1990. The fabric was baby velour, like a short soft french terrycloth.
It was my daughters “best friend”. She lost it one day and cried for a week. Since then she has acquired a large collection of other caterpillar toys, but we could never find this one. He is pretty distinct, though, not like any other I have seen. Finding this guy would just knock her socks off.
