Thanks to our Fabulous Finders we now know this is a RUSS Baby Chee Chee monkey.

I’m looking for a 90’s plush monkey. It had an open mouth like it could suck a thumb or was surprised. Eyes were blue and looking upward and to its left. It was a light tan with a pink nose. I believe it was about 8.5 inches tall. In this picture he’s missing his shorts. He had red shorts with white polka dots originally.

As children, our family moved around every couple of years. We moved within the US and internationally, from the jungles of Indonesia to the rocky shores of Scotland. Because we were always on the go, there were very few comforting “constants” in our lives. We never really had a home, so we got comfort from each other and from the few things that meant a lot to us.

When my little sister was very young, she had a little stuffed monkey she named Kiki (mostly because she couldn’t pronounce monkey). You never saw her without Kiki, ever. She used to chew on that thing all day long and drag it around everywhere, until one day she left him behind in the supermarket. My mom took her back when they realized but by then Kiki was gone. Kiki meant a lot to my sister, because wherever we moved, he followed. He was one of the few constants in her life.

It’s now almost 20 years later and for Christmas this year, I’d really like to get something for her that I know would mean a lot. I appreciate any assistance you can provide, and I know she will too!
