In 2007 at Christmas my infant daughter received this Old Navy pink penguin as a gift. In the recent months she has become attached to her “Gii” as she affectionately calls it. It’s the first thing she calls for when she’s upset, the first thing she asks for when it’s bed time and always brings a smile with giggles when it appears out of nowhere!
We have had one near loss recently when traveling to vacation. Gii was trapped in the van door and rode for nearly a hundred miles head down outside the van! It is not a mishap we care to repeat, so we are extra cautious with Gii now. However, knowing she cries when he’s not around breaks my heart and I would love to have a back up!
