I’m looking for a full body squirrel puppet. The upper two arms were movable and the head had a small opening large enough for one finger (basically to nod back and fourth), but the mouth was fixed and not able to move. It stood about 10-12 inches tall and about 5 inches wide. The body of the squirrel was brown, and it had a tan belly and face (muzzle). The tail was gray and originally was attached lightly to the back of him….until he was well loved, and it came away from the body.
He came from a store in Detroit, Michigan, and I have not found out the brand it was yet. I am going through photo albums trying to find out. I want to say my sister got him as a gift between 1988 and 1990.
I really need help finding this plush Squirrel. My little sister passed away suddenly 3 months ago. It has devastated my family, especially my mother. I would like to find this squirrel puppet to give to my mom. My sister had one, and since it was her special squirrel we buried it with her. Searching for Squirrely helps keep my mind busy…and I would love more than anything to find him and give my mom some comfort.
