Hi, my name is Amy, and I really need your help. I had saved all my stuffed animals and toys from my childhood that had any sentimental value, in hopes that one day I would have a daughter that I could pass them along to. Well, after three boys, my princess finally arrived!
There’s only one problem…My family and I were moving out of town, and I didn’t want to chance something happening to my keepsakes, so I decided to leave them behind with my parents, where I thought they would be safe. Huge mistake! I put all my things in my parents’ storage building and left them there for quite some time. My loving father decided he wasn’t going to make the payments on the storage unit any longer and didn’t bother telling me that I might want to come get my things.
Everything that was in that unit is GONE. All my keepsakes, all of my pageant trophies, crowns and gowns, my childhood pics – all gone. All the things I had been waiting to give my little girl, just ended up in a dumpster somewhere. Anyways, there were a few extra special toys that I have been searching for.
Around ’83-’85 I got a puppy that I just loved. I called him Pup star the Wonder Dog! I have no idea what company made him, or what his real name was. He looked kinda like a Pound Puppy – yellow lab maybe? He laid flat on his stomach, with big floppy ears! His eyes looked droopy. There were little pieces of white felt under his eyes that gave him the look of “bags” He had a red vinyl-like collar, and a small light pink tongue made of felt.
I’m also looking for a small brown teddy bear, that said “Baby’s First Bear” from 1981 that wound up in the back and played lullabies!
I’m so thankful that I found your site, and I really hope you can help me.
Thanks,
Amy
